yeah seriously lmao. fans of color will write very nuanced, thoughtful takes about how the fandom talks about characters of color vs. white characters, or about how the fandom prioritizes white relationships over ones between characters of color, etc., and then white fans read the posts and they're like "so you're saying im racist for not shipping buddie?????" or "so you're saying i'm racist bc i don't write henren fics?????" or "so you're saying i'm racist because buck is my favorite character????" or some other stupid, ridiculous, nonsensical reaction that is OBVIOUSLY not what the original post was saying.
