There's a lot of kink discussion here so I get if you don't want to post this, just wanted to rant for a bit.

I never understood antis argument that proshippers are romanticizing/sexualizing certain topics, because I'd argue:

What counts as romanticizing is so vague. Can you not tell a story from the perspective of an abuser who doesn't see what they're doing as wrong? Can you not tell a story from the perspective of a victim who doesn't know what's happening is wrong, or has accepted it? Can you not give an abuser realistic traits, and make them seem like a good person outside of the abuse, because that's what most real abusers are like?

"Problematic" kinks are so much more common than you think. Why do you think stepsibling porn is so common?? Why do you think so much media meant for women involves some degree of iffy consent? Why do you think r/guro and similar places are so common? Obviously, not everyone has these kinks and that's okay (specifically CNC needs to be done under specific circumstances) but these are way more common things to be into than you'd think. Society will not collapse because some people have a kink that you find gross. Fiction can absolutely be a healthy medium for kinks.

I swear, Antis sensibilities feel like the weirdest parody ever. This game contains murder, dismemberment, cannibalism, demonic summoning, child murder done by children, parental neglect, child neglect, mental and physical abuse, mental issues, jokes pertaining to fetishes and sex, sociopathic behaviours, Governmental abuse of power and removal of rights and freedom, abusive familial relationships, and toxic co-dependencies of siblings, but you know the real upsetting part? It's just way easier to teach kids to do their damn chores if you start earlier. Easier for the teacher and easier for the person being taught. Every time we let some little boy escape childhood with zero useful fucking skills, we create a man who will have to learn them the hard way or be a shitty roommate. Ditto rich kids in general, regardless of gender, tbh.

People are responsible for their own adult behavior, of course, but we do set them up to fail and then wonder why or assume it's entirely on purpose and because they're assholes.
