Hey everyone, a little update is in order.
I ended up moving to a new position at work and that ended up being a bit of a mistake as I really burned myself out. I recently quit and have been trying to get out of the rut I've put myself in.
I still am working on HOA fanfics but it's slow as I try to get my headspace back where it needs to be. I'm wanting to branch out to other fandoms as well as I have been back playing some of my other games that are more portable because of picking up at my other job more now. (The one I actually enjoy.) I'm hoping to have my spark back soon and getting a lot of the world building I wanted done taken care of.
Thanks to everyone whose still been looking at my work and interacting with my posts as it's been a motivator for me.

It’s funny how science fiction universes so often treat humans as a boring, default everyman species or even the weakest and dumbest.
I want to see a sci fi universe where we’re actually considered one of the more hideous and terrifying species.
How do we know our saliva and skin oils wouldn’t be ultra-corrosive to most other sapient races? What if we actually have the strongest vocal chords and can paralyze or kill the inhabitants of other worlds just by screaming at them? What if most sentient life in the universe turns out to be vegetable-like and lives in fear of us rare “animal” races who can move so quickly and chew shit up with our teeth?
Like that old story “they’re made of meat,” only we’re scarier.

Same!!! I've always loved our little amphibian friends.
Admittedly at my job we have a water facility that sooooo many frogs and toads will be around. So as I'm having to run around the facility for a goofy reason every hour, I'd stop and pick up a toad and take them with me through the plant. They literally would just sit on my knuckles as I drove my little golf cart and I'd talk to them as I'd drive through. When the "tour" was done I'd put them right back where I found them.
The only defense I have for being this weird is I'm night shift and we get away with everything. 😅
I'm supposed to be catching frogs in a pond that smells like algae, touching pleasantly smooth sun-warmed rocks, drawing in sidewalk chalk, and drinking water from hoses
