It took a while, but it’s finally here! An extensive timeline of the events in and about Phantom Blood for further reference on this part.

This covers the events on both anime and manga as well additional info from the artbooks and stuff that was implied/inferred or that can be deduced going by all the info available in the story and, occasionally (namely, some of the info around Jack The Ripper), from real life events too.

What do you think about speedwagon with freckles or dimples?

I can't recall if I've ever seen or read anything involving Speedwagon with dimples. I like the idea, but I also personally feel like dimples fit Jonathan a lot more! People forget that he spent 7 actual years in isolation and just being miserable. Smiling is something he probably didn't do much, not genuinely at least. Might sound cheesy af, but I think dimples would make his smile prettier and even more unique (they'd also grant Speedwagon with yet another perfect opportunity to compliment Jonathan and make him blush and smile more!).

I do recall seeing/reading fanworks where he has freckles tho. It's cute! Though I must admit I'm a huge fool for the "light freckles trope". That where his freckles are so lightly colored that they can only be really seen when looking up-close to his face or when he blushes, so not many know he has freckles. Only Jonathan knows, whether it is in a "ship context" (like Jojo noticing them when they first kissed, or when he's managed to make him blush), or just in a general context, as the two spent a lot of time together throughout all of PB, timeskips just did us PB stans dirty (most of the literal months of downtime that happened in this part took place off-screen 😔) and it's also inferred that the two became close, so it's likely -and sometimes implied too- that they got to learn and discover a lot of things about each other through their many interactions off-screen.

saw a poll about whether you prefer corruption or redemption arcs and i realized that for me it's not really either, it's a distillation arc: when a character becomes the most intense version of what they could be, everything inessential falling away or being discarded so that only the core remains.

Hi there!! Ahhh, while I love some chub, dad bods and what can be considered "bear body types" (the gay subculture, not the animal lol) on characters like Travis Grady from the Silent Hill franchise, I gotta say Chubby Speedwagon is not much of a personal preference for me unfortunately. I just love his original ripped af design so much and have been sold on it from the start for varied reasons linked to his story and bg, but I can see why some people like and enjoy the idea!!

Related to this: While og Old Speedwagon remains jacked af, I love the idea of him developing a small bit of tummy and a bit of love handles too as a result of aging (since metabolism naturally slows down after a certain age and etc etc) and as a result of the changes in his lifestyle over the years, as it'd seem he keeps working out then just less often due to time constraints, and also his job as the Foundation's CEO is probably not as physically demanding as some of his activities back at his oil company were.

While he might not have stretch marks due to all the stuff I've mentioned so far (maybe some from a growing spurt? idk), I do love the idea of him having some body hair as well as tons of scars all over his body. Some scars coming from his criminal activities, some from him being a reckless brat in his childhood and accidents he may have had as a result of it, some from fights he's been involved in, and some more from his "Phantom Blood adventures" (burns, a stab wound on his shoulder, scratches and cuts, etc). Not to mention I love the dark circles/eyebags he has
