I think something folks are missing is that a lot of, if not most of, people in the activist sphere are perfectly aware of the antisemitic undertones, messages, and individuals within their movements.

They just don't really care.

Antisemitism is seen by most left-ish goyim as a lesser prejudice, something that's not really an important issue. So when someone they're organizing with harasses, assaults or vandalizes random Jews, Jewish-owned businesses, JCCs, or shuln, they're perfectly happy to brush it off. It's a minor blemish on what they feel is a noble and righteous movement, not a big deal overall. You can point out the ways in which they are harming Jewish people and communities by spreading antisemitic talking points and obvious lies all you want, but they're still just going to reply with a non sequitur about Palestine.

The students at Columbia are perfectly aware of the naked hatred of Jews on display in the off-campus solidarity demonstration outside the gates. They are aware they are creating an environment in which the majority of Jewish students do not feel safe or comfortable being on campus.

They simply do not care.

I have seen so many people in the last week post things that are like “of course antisemitism should always be condemned, BUT—” and I’m so tempted to comment like “when was the last time you condemned antisemitism in that case?? if you truly believe that and this is something that you think matters and is an important issue to you, when have you ever previously done it? or is this a topic you only raise in order to dismiss it?”

If the protesters are for peace and against violence then why has my synagogue gotten bomb threats this week in conjunction with the local protests happening?

I feel like one of the problems with social media and this war is that a ton of jewish users come off as being interested solely in, like, antisemitism and antizionism &etc. On a personal level, honestly I don't think I could be less interested in talking about people hating me and wishing I were dead. It's kind of... Not very interesting to me? I have soooo many other intersts. Except, it's kinda important to address this just, like, vaguely terrifying and unsettling and really deeply depressing trend, so I do it.

Basically what I'm saying is leave the jewish people alone we really should be able to have lives that don't involve existential terror.
