Yknow, I get it. InuKag had to send Moroha away with Hachi to live with Kouga, because if she’d been RIGHTFULLY sent off with big brother Shippo, none of the proceeding crap would’ve happened. No kodoku, no being sold, no debt, and Shippo would’ve, yknow. DONE SOMETHING to try and save her parents.

So I get it.

Of course they also should’ve had a fun easy childhood where Shippo would come home from fox-college and these two would get into mischief while Inu and Kag sat comfortably at home taking care of their additional children but that’s none of my business.

The wild teen smirked as she made her way up the tree. Pulling the nest she saw close to her. Eggs were needed for that recipe her mother spoke of. How lucky she was to find some. The pup collected 3 or 4 from the nest and placed them in her robes. 

Slowly going to make her way down the tree. Her footing was misplaced however as she slipped landing in a bush below the ground. 

“Ow…” 

Was all that was said as she slowly got to her feet to shake off the fall. She could only hope her mother didn’t see that!

Moroha laughed and lead her mother down to the bush. Hands folding behind her head as she walked. “Come on, all the good ones are in the center!” She chuckled. Slowly she put her hand in the bush. Minding the thorns and pulling out a handful of berries.

 “See!” 

She smiled and pulled out a small cloth from her robes using it to hold what she had grabbed. A small sound caught the pups ears. Chirping? She smirked and slowly made her way over to a large tree seeing that quiet a few feet up a nest was left. 

Smirking the pup snuck away from Kagome and began to climb up the tree to retrieve the eggs her mother had spoke of.

「巫女」::  Following the girl was easy. Her bright reds stuck out from the early morning mists and the greens and greys and browns of the land like a sore thumb. She could tell that losing sight of her would be some feat. Not that she had any intention of doing that~! She was glad that she was so bright in contrast. She didn’t want to lose her. 

                    Her face lit up some as Moroha unveiled what looked like a whole field of raspberries. If she had known this was near the wolf den back when she’d first been brought here…::

                                                                                                                                “I do see~! This is pretty amazing~!”

                 ::She exclaimed and went about picking them, she did notice that Moroha snuck off, so she kept her eye on her, but she let her do what she was going to do, for the most part. She’d step in only if there looked to be danger.::

The pup gave a small smile as she took the bow back into her hands. “I’m used to using my hands and rocks, but it was so cool shooting that bow!” She smiled as she played with the string of her homemade bow. 

Honey brown orbs looking up at her mother with a fanged smile as she did. The pup then snickered. “He’s lazy some days, he won’t be up for another hour, but I know a bush near by filled with berries!” She smiled proudly as her arms crossed. 

“Why not have that for breakfast?” 

Moroha asked as she laid the bow down and got to her feet. “Come on I’ll show you!”

「巫女」::  She grinned a bit. Not really surprised in the slightest that the girl was good with using her hands…Especially with the fact that she grew up with the yourozoku. She had a feeling that the girl would wind up being a natural at the bow. She quite looked forward to teaching her how…

                     A chuckle rose from the miko as Moroha then claimed that Kouga was lazy and wouldn’t be up for a while yet. It was something she didn’t know about the ookami prince, but could very well believe about him nonetheless.::

                                                                                                                     “Alright, show me the berry bushes then~ If we manage to find some eggs I can make omelets too~! I know you don’t know what those are, but they’re very good.”

               ::She smirked and pushed herself to a stand, readying to follow her daughter off to where her berry bushes were located.::

On a level Moroha agreed he sucked. She put her life on the line many times just for a meal. “He’s an old coot, but he helped Setsuna.” She shrugged and then walked over with a chuckle. “Wow, keep acting like that and people might think ya care about me.” 

She chuckled and leaned on her fathers side with a smirk. “Moms right you are a hot head.” She said with a snicker. Not that she could talk. She was just as hot headed if not worse at times. Might have been a family trait. 

“Come on let’s go back home then, you saw the tree.” 

She chuckled.

The pup proudly gave the bow over to her mother. It worked, well enough to use from a short distance away. It was her first time ever making a weapon like this though. 

“I made arrows too! They just aren’t don’t yet!” 

She chuckled with a smile as she took a seat in front of her mother a proud smile on her face. “It took a whole to find a stick bowed enough to work.” She explained as she looked at her mother’s bow and then her own.

 They were kinda the same…a little. Very tiny bit. However it worked for now.

「巫女」::  She chuckled looking over the bow, before handing it back to her.::

                                                                                                                     “It’s very good for a first attempt, Moro-chan. Some tips for future creating: Use a live branch to make the bow. That way you can bend it, and shape it to what you desire the curve to be-and then cure it to make it stick. And curing in this case means drying the wood out~It’ll make the bow more flexible in order to be able to draw the string back and have it not snap in half on you. Which is important~! 

                                                                                                                     “Not saying this one will do that mind~ Like I said-its a very good first attempt!”

                 ::She smiled at her-and ruffled the girl’s hair a bit:: 

                                                                                                                      “I have every faith that your arrows will be done by the time we need to use them~ I think though-that we should have breakfast before we head off. We’ve a long trek ahead of us. And we need to wait for Kouga-kun to wake up. He said he’d join us on our quest~”
