So far we have only one submission, of someone who was already in the writers bracket and was not given alternative propaganda from the previous ones regarding their writing. So the two spots are still open! Although I might just move it to awards if we don't get more people soon, since I've been very busy lately and this has been a nagging anxiety I can do nothing about.

Hey, sorry about the anon hassling you. I think what you're doing here is great! It's been very cool to see all these different creators in the fandom get their spotlight, some of which I've never heard of!

I do concur that it'd be nice for the (I assume upcoming?) non-writers bracket to appear in the main tags so more people can vote on it. If you're worried about spamming the tag, you can try and stagger the uploads so you only post one a day or one every 12 hours or such. Tumblr has some nice scheduling features for stuff like that. And honestly, if MML and Hamster and Gretel's tags get so few posts that one post a day fills it up, then anyone browsing that tag is probably so starved for content anyway that they'd be grateful for anything. The promotion of other content creators within the fandom is a good thing and I think people would probably like to see it!

I also have to admit, I would like to reblog the polls I'll be in, but foisting all my followers on a poll with just 30 votes on it feels kind of like cheating…

I thought I'd said this prior lol, but there's been a lot of confusion about it(not ur fault just using this as an example to clarify); the brackets were if for we got a lot of submissions for a specific category, and were just for fun. The only category that got enough submissions for a bracket was the writers bracket, which has already had at least one technical difficulty I've had to work out behind the scenes and that was still split up into two mini-brackets for writers themselves and specific fics. I believe there are just enough people for a general bracket, so if that's something people really want, I can figure out how to do one, but it would likely be very unorganized.

And yeah, but I will say as someone who's been into some obscure stuff, trying to find stuff for your interest and only getting stuff that's technically related(Not a single person who submitted anything cared for Hamster and Gretel, for example, and very few creators submitted have done anything for that show or Milo Murphy's Law), especially in a fandom like this where stuff is tagged as all of the different parts of the Dwampyverse even when it's not quite often. I will use the main tags going forwards however.

Have you ever heard of the Secret Life of Candace? Aka best mermaid au ever? GUESS WHO WROTE IT?

I have been in the Phineas and Ferb fandom for over a decade - writing fics for it for 12 years, can y'all believe that? I'm one of the oldest "original" fandom members left on AO3, which is actually insane.

And to this day the things I love about the show have shifted a little - favorite characters, favorite tropes, ships, etc. Nothing drastic, but anyone who's been following me since the beginning has definitely seen those changes.

But the thing I have always loved most about this fandom IS the fandom. The PnF fandom is one of the most wholesome fandoms I've ever been in, and it's the reason it's one of the only fandoms I still interact with. Sure, there's been drama, and sometimes we don't all agree - no fandom will ever always agree on everything (if they do....run)

Overall tho this fandom is so kind and wonderful, and given how small we are, we are still obnoxiously loud about this show 😂 I love us for that

Regardless if I win or lose (and if I lose, I'm honored to go down to someone like @/inators, who is a very kind person and has a big presence in the fandom), I wanted to say thank y'all for getting me this far

Phineas and Ferb got me on Tumblr and started my writing career. The fandom is what helped me stay. If I could give y'all an award for "Best Fandom," I absolutely would 🧡💚

Propaganda: local_dragon has a fantastic way with words and unconventional story telling. AUs where Perry is revealed to the kids are frequent, but ones where he interacts with Linda and Lawrence too are few and far between and the concept has so much potential. I just love their writing

(I am not the previous anon) No wonder so many of the winning polls have been so incredibly baffling! 30 votes on a pnf polls? That RARELY happens! Writers with hundreds of kudos losing to small creators? You didn't tag the polls properly? Meaning that instead of receiving feedback from the fandom at large, you have only been circulating these polls without your circles?! I do not wish to assume you did this on purpose or with bad intentions, but this competition is rigged!

I'm sorry you feel this way. As far as tagging goes, I have been tagging the fandom appropriately for the duration of this. If people aren't seeing the tag, there's not much I can do to force that beyond blazing it, and I won't be putting real money into a competition that's supposed to just be for fun.

The fact of the matter is, people besides those in them are not reblogging the polls. Tumblr is a reblog heavy site - if you don't reblog something, people will not see it. It's only circulating small groups because those are the only ones sharing it, and in terms of people who know individual creators and not just the source from their childhood, it's already a small circle.

As far as voting…this whole thing is supposed to be an appreciation of ALL PnF content creators, not just the big ones. If a "smaller" creator is winning, we should be congratulating them rather than being upset. It means people took time to look at their submission pieces and decided that they really liked them. If you're not taking the time to look at all the submissions, and instead are voting based on popularity, then that's up to you. But not everyone is going to do that. And frankly it's hurtful and rude to smaller creators to tell them that they shouldn't be winning because they aren't popular. Imagine how you'd feel if that was you.

When it comes down to it, I'm just posting what was submitted to me. If someone wasn't submitted that should have been - I left the submissions open for almost a month in the tags the other person suggested, during which I pointed out to other people that they could submit whoever they wanted. There was plenty of time to get them in. And if people aren't getting the numbers on polls you expected, it's because people are not sharing them.

And finally, as mentioned before: if they feel this is unfair, anyone who's in the tournament are more than welcome to pull themselves out, as I've mentioned in every poll. At the end of the day, this was a fun and silly thing to do within the fandom to work up hype for each other. I'm sorry people are only focusing on it as a popularity contest.
