Despite the stress of everything going on, Wheatley had been a treasured friend to Chell. His babbling although near constant kept her mind off thinking too much about their situation. He calmed her. Even after so much time that has passed she was grateful. Out of the blue, Chell voiced this, although not vocally, but through the warmest hug she could give the core.
