I want to say, also, that violence against Asian Americans is a real thing (especially in the wake of covid) but especially towards Southeast Asian and dark-skinned Asian women, as well as working class Asian women and sex workers. Roxy is Irish America, Klaus having emigrated to the US just after she was born.
She started waitressing at Klaus’ bar (an Irish bar in my fic/headcanon) so that she could earn money to dye her hair.
She’s been dyeing her hair pink since she was fourteen and will not compromise on that. Klaus tried, he failed. Her school tried, they failed.
Staunch vegan, will fight you on that.
Volunteers at the local animal rescue, and that’s how she found Artu.
Backpack is covered in pins and patches that say things like “adopt don’t shop”, “not your mom, not your milk”, “a dog is for life, not just for Christmas”. As well as some pride flags and BLM pins.
