Edo blinked as he listened to the other and was given a gift by the taller male before taking the gift, “Ah, right, thank you I’m glad for it.” He replied, feeling his cheeks heating up a bit before coughing awkwardly. “Actually, my manager has my schedule clear for the day, since she felt that would finally remind me about my birthday to paraphrase her. So, if you’re free today as well, would you like to spend some time together? It’s been a while since we’ve had one on one time after all.”

Aster smirked in return with a nod, he was looking forward to that promised duel already. In the present though he followed Jaden to a spot away from the main island. He looked around, surprised that such a place was here.
“Wow... It’s pretty amazing.” He acknowledged as he looked around and then out to sea. He then looked back to Jaden, “I can see why you’d choose here. Not many chances of someone stumbling on you so you can be alone with nothing but your thoughts.” He noted with a small nod of his head to Jaden’s explanation as he placed his hands in his pants pockets as he turned his gaze back to the ocean, a slight smile forming.

Aster chuckled a bit at the comment, though the chuckle was between amused and bitter. After the brief silence he glanced back to Jaden at his supportive words.
He blinked before smirking a bit, “Well, it HAS been a while since our last duel hasn’t it? I wouldn’t mind seeing how much both our styles have improved and for another chance to show the strength of my Destiny Heroes.” After this he smiled, “But thank you Jaden, I’ll keep your offer in mind.”
It was still strange to rely on others his own age but he knew if nothing else Jaden was good on his word.

Jaden gave Aster a nuzzle before pulling away. “I’m a lot better after seeing you Aster… after everything that happened I was genuinely worried about you…”
Aster had gone through… a lot. And while Jaden had his issues he felt Aster was the one who needed attention right now.
“Are you ok…?”
Aster felt his blush return when the other nuzzled him before pulling away as he straightened out his suit. He really wasn’t too used to physical affection but it seemed with Jaden that was something he’d have to get used to.
At his words he blinked in surprise before leaning against a nearby wall, arms folded as he thought on it, “It’s... hard to say honestly. On the one hand I finally managed to avenge my father. But on the other, learning that the man who took me in as an adoptive father was the one who killed him... I guess it’s been hard to come to terms with that....” He answered honestly, looking to the ground.
After a moment he looked back to Jaden, a warm look in his deep blue eyes, something he didn’t have when he first came to Duel Academy. “But.... I think... I think I’m better now than I have been for a long time.”

Aster had only a second to react to the loud yet familiar voice calling his name when he suddenly felt arms wrap around him. His eyes widened and a blush formed before he recognized the other Hero user as he cleared his throat, trying to get back some control over himself.
“J-Jaden... You really are a surprising guy.... But it is good to see you again. And I’ve been doing pretty good, and yourself?”
He responded in turn, blush still clear, both from the sheer unexpected nature of the hug and that the other had not only missed him but even seemed to be a bit concerned about him. This was probably why he hadn’t tried to get out of the taller male’s hug.
