I could make a really long headcanon about this and go into more details, but with the heaviness of this topic I figured it’s just safer to state what I have to and that be it.
Jamie has thought about committing suicide many times since becoming a werewolf. The thing about it though, is that he has no desire to die and never has. He does truly want to live his life to the best he can, but at the same time he struggles to see past the fact that he’s more than a bloodthirsty monster that’s a danger to anyone and everything he comes into contact with.
He really doesn’t want to die, but he also really doesn’t want to hurt / kill anyone.

If put in a situation where Josh is asked about what happened to him, he’ll just say that he’s a veteran ( deliberately left as vague as possible ) and it happened while he was out of the country. While one could pick holes in his story if they were a legitimate war veteran, what he’s put together is just easier to tell than share the actual events with the mundane minded.

Jamie is a fantastic cook. When a teenager, he cooks all the meals ( in fairly large amounts so he can have food in the freezer for when he’s being dragged around by his mother ) for him and his dad and can make perfect rice dishes as his specialty.
In college, he doesn’t get the chance to cook as much as he’d like to ( because of money and also he spends most of his time in classes, studying or working to keep the roof over his and Rissa’s heads ), but if he could he totally would.

Tali’s an absolutely shameless Backstreet Boys stan, but while she was pregnant she couldn’t listen to them without bursting into tears. That super late 1990s-2000s everything and those harmonies just hit her differently and if she decided to play a few songs it wasn’t uncommon for her to be on her bed just tearing up with lots of “but I love them so much” while having her back rubbed by Kane, or whoever had the misfortune of being in the house at the time of her needed BSB fix.

As far as the supernatural residents of Los Angeles goes, everyone knows who the wolves are, meaning everyone knows who Quinn is and what his job entails. What I’m basically saying is that people have killed to send a message to the wolves through Quinn and it makes such a stressful job even more stressful as he has to go above and beyond to keep all supernatural dealings away from mortal eyes.
