Omg, the end of this is so sad to me. I'm such a latecomer to this ship/fandom, but loved it so much that I began writing fanfic for it this year, specifically to gear myself up for this awesome fest. I have no idea how to use any of these platforms and just signed up on livejournal so I wouldn't miss it next year. Hopefully I won't miss it! Thanks for this awesome idea and all the work that's gone into it. I can't believe it's ending.

Remix Whenever... Dramione Forever
Introduction
The Dramione Remix was an annual Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy prompt-claiming fest. It has now been renamed “Remix Whenever… Dramione Forever”!
The concept is very simple: participants choose from a list of famous couples (historical, folklore, literature, movies, television, etc.). Then they "remix" the original couple’s story using whatever elements of the original story that they find inspiring to create a brand new piece of Dramione fic or artwork!
For example, here are some plot bunnies for remixing Romeo and Juliet:
Hermione and Draco are lovers from feuding families.
Hermione and Draco die in the end.
Hermione and Draco are the owners of the apothecary shop from which the fatal poison was purchased.
It’s up to you! You choose your prompt and interpret it however you wish!
Even though the fest is no longer active, the prompt list is still available for anyone who is interested in trying their hand at remixing one of the couples. The prompt list can be found HERE.
We have created a separate sub-collection for post-fest fics and we welcome you to link to it once you’ve posted your story to AO3! Remix Whenever… Dramione Forever sub-collection.

FAQ
While the fest was active, these were the rules for submission:
Fics must be between 2,500 and 25,000 words. Art must be the equivalent.
Writers must provide a short summary of the inspiring couple, to give context for folks who are unfamiliar with the original pairing. This can be placed in the “Notes” section either at the beginning or the end of the story. We recommend putting it in the beginning notes. Where applicable, please identify the source of the summary.
Works have to be beta-read.
Works have to remain exclusive to the fest before the Masterlist is posted at the end of the fest.
If you wish to follow the rules of the fest as an extra challenge, feel free!

This is it! After 8 years and 10 fabulous rounds of the Dramione Remix Fest, this is the final farewell!
Your three mods just want to take this final opportunity to say a big THANK YOU for your support and love of the fest all these years! Special thanks to Amethyst and ashleyfanfic for creating this amazing concept in the beginning and to slytheringurrl for her modding efforts.
Moderating for you has been a real privilege and it's been fun. Sometimes, it has been hair-pullingly frustrating. All of it, though, has been SO WORTH IT!
Needless to say, huge kudos to the authors and artists who have put their blood, sweat, and tears into creating fabulous submissions over the years—and what a variety of funny, dramatic, imaginative, sometimes terrifying pieces they’ve shaped and shared!
We’ve received so many amazing prompt couples over the years that didn’t get remixed, so even though we won’t be actively organizing fests to showcase them, we want to make these prompts available in hopes that they can still inspire creativity. So, the prompts list (HERE) can be found under our new banner, Remix Whenever… Dramione Forever. Happy writing!
