Wise One
I was excited when a niece reached out to me and asked me to make a few graduation cards for her. I’ve been wanting to use the Wise Owl die set from Spellbinders and this seemed like the perfect chance to try it out. I also grabbed an older die from Spellbinders for the mortar board (sorry, I don’t think it is available any more).
The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Stencil It. I used…

Dust for You
Don’t you just love these adorable dust bunnies…if only they were so cute in my home!
This week the challenge at Simon Says Stamp is Interactive. I like making interactive cards but they are definitely a bit more time consuming and I like to make them for a specific person as they are more special. I decided to pull out a mini wobble to add to the bunny with the duster in her paw for the…

Lovely Layers
Some of my favorite dies are the Lovely Layers dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I decided to pull out a few different flowers sets. I die cut the flower pieces from watercolor paper and colored them with Altenew’s Spring Market watercolor markers. I couldn’t resist adding a few more Honey Bee dies as well as stamp sets. I pulled sentiments from my stash to add to the cards.
Thanks so much for…

You are Iris-istible
Sorry for the corny pun but I really couldn’t think of anything else to go with an iris 🙂
All this month on the Honey Bee Stamps Facebook page, HBS is sponsoring a sketch challenge. I pulled papers from several HBS paper pads. I kept the papers pretty neutral as I wanted the iris to be the star of the card. I thought the blue tones complemented the iris quite well.

Cake, Lots of Cake
If I’m ever stuck for design inspiration, I love to play along with sketch challenges. I don’t know about you, but I can easily get stuck in a rut and use the same layout over and over again for my card designs. Today’s card is curtesy of MFT’s Sketch #691. Whenever a sketch is sponsored by a company, I try my best to use that companies products on my card. Today, I grabbed the adorable JB…

Butterfly Sympathy
The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Anything Goes. It seems I never have enough sympathy cards so I thought I’d pull out an oldie but goodie stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps; Praying Big Time and my new, gorgeous Brutus Monroe Butterfly Beauty papers. I also used Gina K Stamps Master Layout 8 dies – I really appreciate all of the companies that provide A7 products!

Happy Easter
Happy Easter to You!
With just a few hours left for this week’s SSS Easter/Spring Challenge, I chose to use Spellbinder’s Large Die of the Month for February, Floral Bunny Basket. This card (other than the sentiment) is made entirely with dies – so fun and so quick to throw a card together. A few gems were added to complete the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

You Make Moo so Happy
I’m obsessed with the Scottish Highland cows…I think they are just so darn cute. I was so excited with MFT’s latest release and they had a stamp set featuring these cows – You Make Moo so Happy. I sure hope I’ll get a chance to see them when we visit Scotland in a couple of months. Between the Highland cows and the Scottish black-faced sheep; I don’t which I like better!
I haven’t done a color…

Sip, Read, Repeat
It feels like forever ago since I last played along with an MFT Sketch Challenge. For todays card, I’m using a new(er) stamp set – JB Books and Buddies. Rather than using the circle element on the card, I pulled out my Stitched Hexagon Stax dies (I don’t think they are available any more but I do see they have other hexagon dies on MFT’s website).
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tulip Time
The challenge this week at Simon Says Stamp is Bit ‘O Green…for me this is definitely a challenge as green is one of my least favorite colors. Looking at my desk, I had these two tulips that I assembled a couple of weeks ago and just hadn’t gotten around to using them in making a card.
Tulips for me are an indicator that spring is just around the corner. In fact, far too often they come up out…

Foiling Fun
It’s a Fun with Foiling challenge at Simon Says Stamp this week. I pulled out a few backgound foiling plates and sentiments from some of my favorite stamp companies. The sponsor this week is Gina K Designs. I used Gina K Designs Master Layout 8 set on all of my cards; I really appreciate companies that have options for those of us that make A7 size cards.
I recently received SSS Friendship Leafy…

Mixing it Up
A quick post to follow up on my previous one, Bon Appetit. I didn’t feel like this card complimented the other three cards so I decided to do a separate post.
Let me start off by saying, this mixer die is larger than expected. Don’t get me wrong…I love it, it just pretty much took over the entire card and I make 5×7″ cards. I think next time I’m going to try doing a portrait rather than a…

Bon Appetit
Not my usual color palette but I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and try something a bit more subtle. I chose Bon Appetit digital papers from Nitwit Collections along with a with few design elements.
The pies were all created using Spellbinders Perfect Pies and Serve a Slice die sets. Strawberry Cheesecake, Apple Pie or Cherry Cheesecake…do you have a favorite?
As always, thanks so much for…

Everything is Coming Up Rainbows
I’m playing along with this week’s sketch challenge at My Favorite Things. I have to admit, this card deviates a bit from the sketch but I think overall it hits most of the design elements. I just got the new roller skate dies from MFT and wanted to use them – love the versatility of this die set! I channeled Laura Bassen and went with rainbow colors…gotta love the rainbow laces!
