modern!finnick odair is a passionate duolingo user
when he told you he had a big streak you were expecting him having a 50 days one, not a four years streak. being a proud member of the streak society.
you are cuddling together at night, holding each other while he strokes your hair, being completely comfortable in the silence, every few minutes receiving soft thoughtful forehead kisses from him when all of a sudden he yells "OH GOD, MY STREAK!" and stands up looking for his phone
it all started as something to pass time, "learning spanish won't be very time-consuming, right?" he thought. now he's completely obsessed with it, watches movies in spanish, listens to latin music, and has to show off his spanish every time he has the chance.
sometimes when he wants to turn you on he holds your hips tightly and corners you to the wall, pushes his body to yours, overwhelming your senses as he kisses your sweet spot on your neck, and then he whispers into your ear "yo como una manzana" seductively
eventually, he convinces you to join too, happy to have you as a partner for the friend quests. now at any random time of the day you will receive a text from him "have you done duolingo today, honey?" the answer is no most of the time. he actually gets a little upset when you don't pull your weight and lose the friend quest of the week.
he has a nemesis, bertha, an old lady from the other side of the world. he claims that they hate each other, having history of competing for the first place on the leaderboards, and having heavy tension between them. he is right, that lady prays for his downfall every single time he beats her to the first place and wants him gone.
one night before going to sleep, he kissed your cheek and softly told you "don't worry honey, i'll take care of the green bird for you if it's necessary" as if it was a completely normal thing to say, and went to sleep without a care in the world
