Hello! I'm Dolce. Born in 1997. Argentinian.
Drawing is my hobby, my passion and sometimes, my side-hustle. I open commission slots occasionally, please check my carrd for updated prices and ToS, and follow me on Twitter for updates on my commission queue.
Here you will find all of my artwork, as well as discussion of my ocs and headcanons, in Spanish and English. My main and only fandom is Hetalia, although I no longer consider myself an active participant. My content is strongly canon-divergent and this includes the revamping and replacing of canon characters, either made by me or close friends I collaborate with, in private.
Despite my artwork generally leaning towards cute and light-hearted topics, I don't shy away from dark and problematic historical content that may upset some people. I also tend to focus on romance, shipping and relationships a lot. Almost everything I make is canon x oc or oc x oc!

—Perhaps that’s because we've always worked well together.

I think it's worth remembering that they are going through the first years of the Great Depression, where a fundamental shift in capitalism rearranged international affairs. For Arthur and Agustina, it meant that their complementary industrial power + agricultural nation dynamic was in danger. Arthur's global power was withering and Agustina's dependence on him would only make things worse for both. She knows that a path to becoming more self-sufficient is necessary, however, she is not ready to leave his side completely.
Tina's behavior is making her hang by a thread. She's in a "beggars can't be choosers" situation, but she can't help herself and show a bit of resistance anyway. She has her pride.
She is here to make Arthur cooperate with her, and losing him is losing a great deal of her income, but when the British see she is in need of them, they try to take advantage of it.
She needs to find the balance between reminding Arthur that she really needs him, but also letting him know that there is a limit of how much he can take from her, and that he should appreciate she still chooses him.

No está demás recordar que están atravesando los primeros años de la Gran Depresión, donde un cambio fundamental en el capitalismo comenzó la reorganización del orden internacional. Para Arthur y Agustina, esto significó que su dinámica complementaria de potencia industrial + nación agrícola tenía los días contados. El poder global de Arthur se estaba apagando y la dependencia de Agustina solo empeoraría las cosas para ambos. Tina sabía que era necesario encontrar un camino hacia la autosuficiencia, sin embargo, no estaba lista para abandonarlo por completo.
Su comportamiento la tiene al límite de meterse en problemas. Es como la frase "beggars can't be choosers": el mendigo no puede elegir. Aun así, no puede evitar resistirse un poco. Tiene su orgullo, después de todo.
Agustina necesita lograr que Arthur coopere con ella porque perderlo significaría perder una gran parte de sus ingresos. Sin embargo, cuando los británicos vieron hasta dónde llega su necesidad, intentaron aprovecharse de ello. Tina tendrá que encontrar el equilibrio entre recordarle a Arthur que realmente lo necesita, pero también hacerle saber que hay un límite en cuánto puede tomar, y que debería apreciar que ella aún lo elige.

Sjwkefjffjsjg that would be so mean of him if he didn't care 😭🙏he definitely gets his tingles of jealousy because he's just a man. A latino man...
But he isn't controlling and doesn't tell her what to do with her life. They don't have an official relationship, they don't owe each other any kind of sentimental loyalty, so whatever they do is up to them. That doesn't mean he won't get upset or won't let her know when something makes him uncomfortable. On this day and age they try to be mature about it, but they're still young people, so they probably have their petty arguments lol

So I know the comic you're working on is mainly focused on ukarg (beautiful work btw 💕 Tina looks amazing 🤲🇦🇷) but will any other characters be involved? If so, do they have opinions over the relationship that's happening between Tina and Arthur? 🤔

Other Arthur-adjacent characters will be mentioned, and there will be a very small cameo of two of them. However, there won't be other characters actively participating because what happens between Tina and Arthur is extremely private — especially from Tina's side. She doesn't want to make her, uh, situationship known for fear of being judged harshly for crossing boundaries of political friendship. By private, I mean out of sight from other people of their kind; being seen by regular humans who don't recognize them is alright.
Arthur respects her wishes for privacy, but some of his closest people might suspect or know what's really going on. If asked about it, he won't deny or confirm the relationship, but his men know not to meddle in his personal business anyway
