Ok I've been thinking...
Sleet and Dingo captured Sonic and/or his siblings multiple times, right? To stop them from getting away, couldn't they have just fucked up their legs (breaking them, biting them, just mangling them in general) then boom they get to live their lives somewhat peacefully without having to worry about hunting down some kids.
Like, the entire scene could've went like this:
Dingo: Sleet, I have an idea
Sleet: Oh yeah? What's that?
Dingo: Ok, turn Sonic upside-down
Sleet: Like this? *holding Sonic by his ankles*
Dingo: Yeah, now just start biting or something like that
Sleet: Dingo, you fucking genius
*roll credits*
