“In the name of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, my wealth will grow, and I will achieve my goals,” she whispered forcefully.
Fern is determined to regain her grandparents' old garden nursery, and she'll use every tool in her arsenal to achieve her dream! As a young witch, she has much to learn about life and love. Sometimes magic works in unexpected ways. Wealth can take many forms, and our childhood ambitions often evolve as we age. Read her story in my upcoming #WitchLit novel, PLANT LADY, coming in autumn of 2023 through @shadowsparkpub!

Winter Solstice in Rock Bay
My newsletter subscribers got a little Winter Solstice treat in the form of a Yuletide poem featuring characters from my Rituals of Rock Bay series. Tonight I'll share it with everyone as thanks for your continued support. :) ❄️🌲🕯️ "Winter Solstice has come. All across Rock Bay, Pagans celebrate light Each in their own way. Lighting the hearth fire, Lacey preps for the rite While Cian bakes cookies For Solstice night. Wee Sylvia listens As her mother sings Of the bright sun’s rebirth And five golden rings. Across town, there’s a shop Where witches can go To buy Yuletide gifts While braving the snow. The Crystal Cauldron waits. Buy a wand or book A cloak or a candle. Why not take a look? Lydia decks the shelves With garlands of pine. Jan will read your fortune-- Next year will be fine. Margaret leaves with a bag. But what could it be? Bright handfasting cords For her and Anthony. They all meet at the grove For feasting and song. They circle out back; Now won’t be long. The longest night begins. Old friends gather near. Fiona leads the way While Rick leads the cheer. The Druids chant carols And pray to their gods. They make oaths and give drink To even the odds. All leave with a candle To help light their way And give each renewed hope For a brand new day."

Joyous Yuletide fellow Pagans. With the blizzard, I'm relaxing at home. The last few years, we've had Chinese or Indian takeout for dinner, but I don't think that's happening this year! ❄️ Happy 7th Day of Hanukkah (I believe) to my Jewish friends.🕎 Merry Christmas to my Christian friends and family.🎅 Here's one of my favorite Winter Solstice songs celebrating the fact that we can all come together in love, kindness, and acceptance. I miss seeing my family today even though we have different religious traditions.

Hello from Northern NY!
Snowy structures in a blizzard. A pea trellis in the foreground followed by a couple of apple trees, and the rose garden arbor in the distance. Behind them all is a sea of snow coating everything: fences, tall trees, and the cemetery. We are hunkering down, safe and sound. Praying we keep power to stay warm.

I’ll probably be more active on here now that Twitter is just falling apart left and right. Ugh. Very sad because I did so much promotion and networking with other writers, readers, and Pagans there. Still, I’m finding more of you on here! It’s honestly nice to mutually follow so many Twitter friends elsewhere. Those connections can last.

My grove’s Winter Solstice ritual switched from an in-person to a virtual event due to inclement weather and illness among members. Still, I had a lovely time with grovemates. I set up a temporary altar on the porch so I could safely use loose incense. Chilly but worth it! Looking forward to my family observation on the 21st and 22nd. #WinterSolstice #Yuletide #Yule #Pagan #PagansOfInstagram #Druid #Druidry #DruidsOfInstagram

A Saturday Snippet
It’s a rainy day here, and I spent much of the morning revising my upcoming novel, Plant Lady. After some angsty chapters, it’s so good to get back into the romance again!  “I don’t mean that kind of tension!” she protested, though she wasn’t so sure. Fern couldn’t deny how her pulse had rushed when Paul shielded her from the rain.
Plant Lady, a contemporary standalone about an urban witch and her second-chance romance, comes out next autumn from Shadow Spark Publishing! In the meantime, check out my Pagan Rituals of Rock Bay series starting with River Magic!

I’m hoping to get some revisions in this weekend, but between visiting family and my daughter’s holiday dance show... We’ll see how I feel tonight, but I’m exhausted from work. Now I’m full of mashed potatoes and just want to go to sleep...  😴

Been a long time.
* dusts off the old Tumblr blog * I used to share fan fiction updates here, but I haven’t written any in a long time. I’ve been very preoccupied with my original characters and stories. If you’re interested in fiction about authentic contemporary Pagans, you may enjoy my Rituals of Rock Bay series available through Shadow Spark Publishing. Lacey and Cian must learn to navigate life, love, and magic along the Saint Lawrence River in Upstate NY.
My latest novel, a standalone contemporary called “Plant Lady” will release in October of 2023! It’s about Fern - an urban witch who runs a plant shop but yearns to reopen her grandparents’ neglected greenhouse. While she can grow just about anything and bring luck to her clients, Fern struggles to make her own dreams come true. Life is further complicated when an ex-boyfriend suddenly appears at a Pagan meetup as they plan their annual Samhain Witches Ball.
Hope you’ll follow me through my continued writing journey!
