it's about 2 and a half hours until new year's / my birthday here! i'm still scrambling for scraps of energy, but i'm feeling hopeful for the new year to come - maybe now we're getting through the thick of winter, it'll be easier to muster strength when i can see spring on its way. i hope you folks are all well and have a safe, comfy new year's with those you love, whether that's irl or online! i care you all, and so does ash. have a good one friends xoxo

christmas bubbas ... merry fellows

it's a miracle that ash gets anything done at all at christmas - this time of year gives him carte blanche to be as indulgent as he dares. it's an excuse to break out the irish liqueur at 11am, even though he's still supposed to be working at delia's restaurant. somehow he manages. this is the dark magic of a functioning alcoholic. through bodily and chemical chaos, he makes it all work, even if pallet house is at its busiest this time of year. oh yeah, pallet town has never had its own kfc, has it? not like viridian city to the north. suffice it to say, locals have to look to other options for a supposedly traditional fried chicken bucket for the holidays. you best believe delia and pallet house came in clutch to fill that dire need in the community. and you best believe that there's no better man to lord over the fryers than a huge, slightly drunk and hungry man who knows he will be getting his fill out of whatever food is leftover.

hiiiii everyone :) irregularly scheduled shan checking-in! winter blues are still absolutely handing my candy ass to me, but not so viciously that i'm immune to the holiday spirit. been getting ready for family get-togethers, and i miss you all so muchhhh! i have a whole week off work up until just after new years, so i'm really hoping that i'll have it in me to show my face a little more and hang out with you folks again properly - especially since it's my 31st birthday on new year's as well! other than that, though, i really hope you've all been doing well and have been enjoying the holiday season. i'm sure i'll pop some mistletoe on a string on ash's head and send him on his rounds soon.
