LOGAN:
“You’re right. It does make you sound like an idiot.” Logan couldn’t help but poke at the easy sore spot. “Things just don’t come to you for free you know.”
Tumblr media
“Which I’m sure you’d know all about, from the look of you,” she shot back, with all the venom she could muster. She was in the mood for sympathy, not someone pushing her buttons. “Yeah, I know. I wasn’t born yesterday.”

OLIVER:
“It doesn’t sound too hard to me. Well, what kind of business it it, anyway?” Oliver asked, a bit intrigued.
Tumblr media
“Well, that’s what I thought. Turns out it’s a lot more annoying than that,” she replied, trying her best not to get defensive. Despite herself, her face lit up a little when he asked about the business itself. “I’m actually trying to start my own fashion company! I’ve got some designs and, like, prototype clothes lying around that I’m trying to actually do something with.”

LAUREN:
“In theory, it should be easy…” Lauren muses, “but I feel like there would be too many loose ends to clean up…”
Tumblr media
“Pretty much, yeah. Like, I’m good at organising stuff but I keep thinking of something else I want - or need - to do and it’s all just...ugh. Everything’s so much better in theory.”

LEIA:
Leia stood still at the girl’s remark. Growing up in politics, Leia had her opinions and beliefs. She was quite grounded in them as well and wasn’t afraid to back down under any circumstances. “Using the term a free country seems quite childish when this country is anything but free in recent years. And even if it is, respecting that someone would like privacy doesn’t entitle you to intrude with attitude.” she said simply, taking off her gloves. “What exactly are you looking for? Perhaps I can help,” Although the girl had given her sass, Leia wasn’t someone to turn away someone who needed help, no matter how big or small. She would always assist where she could.
Tumblr media
“Whatever,” Laney mumbled, edging towards petulance. She didn’t care for a political debate right now, and she definitely didn’t care for this woman lecturing her. Whether she agreed or not didn’t really matter - her sour mood made her argumentative. However, she was glad she didn’t roll her eyes and make a snide remark when help was offered. “A bracelet. Silver, expensive, has a D charm hanging off it. I’m hoping it’s here, because otherwise it’s gone forever.”

Delaney had been hoping the gym was empty. The idea of looking for her lost bracelet with anyone else there was just embarrassing. She didn’t lose things. She just didn’t, she was too tidy. And yet, here she was. “It’s a free country,” Delaney shot back, mostly on petty instinct. She wasn’t in a great mood to begin with, and being told she couldn’t be here wasn’t helping. Still, she should probably tone down the snark. “Besides, I’m just looking for something, I’m not planning to get in between you and your workout time,” she added in a less biting tone as she scanned the room.
Tumblr media
leia didn’t know how long she had been in the gym. she had gotten lost in her workout. the rhythm of her fists hitting the punching bag the only thing she could hear besides her pulse beating fast in her ear. with one last punch to the sack she turned out quickly, looking at someone coming in. she could sense them nearing without having to hear them. “preoccupied.” she let them know, not willing to share at the moment. she needed her alone time to get into the zone. surely, whoever this was could wait.

Delaney was fixing her hair in her phone’s front facing camera when she heard Marie comment on a missing cardigan. She didn’t say anything - it wasn’t her business - until the girl spoke again and she couldn’t help herself. “Well, that’s an escalation if I ever heard one,” she murmured. It seemed unlikely that someone would bother stealing a cardigan of all things, no matter how expensive it was. And based on a brief glance over Marie’s clothes and panic, it was expensive. “Jeez. No, I didn’t see the ‘delinquent’.” It was a physical effort not to roll her eyes. She examined herself once more on the phone before switching it off and turning to Marie with a sigh. Okay, so she felt a little bad for her. “Where’d you last see it? Are you sure it’s not in your room or something?” She prodded, aiming for a gentle tone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“My cardigan is missing,” Marie murmured; quietly at first as her nervy blue eyes darted across the recreation hall. It was expensive. On sale, it was over four thousand dollars. Had this been the old days with her platinum get out of jail free visa, she would have cut it as a loss and bought a better one. Now though, her hands searched her bag desperately for the soft white cardigan. Her eyes were burning while her face grew hot, both embarrassed that such a loss was so weighted, and that she lost it in the first place. Or, “Somebody stole my shirt,” she said, more urgently now as her gaze of loss and mourning turned to a more easy to digest fit of anger. “Did you see the delinquent?”

— biography ;
Delaney Riaz has always lived a charmed life. She was privileged as most would call it - spoiled even. Of course, Delaney often objected that she was anything but, but what else would you call living in an upstate penthouse in Manhattan other than privileged? Delaney had everything she ever wanted all thanks to the hard work her father had done over the years. Delaney’s parents were born and raised in Brazil. In their early twenties, they immigrated to the united states making a home for themselves in the Bronx. Delaney’s father had always been crafty per se. For him, life was a game and boy did he know how to play it well. He was someone who kept his friends close but his enemies closer. Over the years he gained friends in much higher places which helped him later on in life. Delaney’s father was determined to make a name for himself and a life here in America no matter what the cost was. Even if it meant getting his hands dirty. You see Mr. Riaz was apart of the Comando Vermelho, which is the most dangerous Brazilian criminal organization engaged primarily in arms and drug trafficking. It wasn’t exactly the most ethical, let alone legal way to make money but when little Delaney arrived in her parent’s lives her father delved deeper into the drug world than he had before. Over the years her father was able to make a name for himself. He climbed himself to the top of the ranks and was able to make bank. Eventually with the help of his said friends Delaney’s father was able to become a powerful businessman and the CEO/President of Riaz Industries. He had not only made a name for himself but made a life he felt his daughter deserved. Delaney grew up to be quite the handful. She was the center of her parents’ world. She was given praise but never punishment. In their eyes, Delaney could do no wrong. The only downside of that is they gave their daughter a massive ego with not the best attitude attached.
Having wealth and power to spare Delaney always had a knack for the stage. Living in New York the shows on Broadway always interested her. Around the age of thirteen, she practically begged her parents to let her become a star. How could they say no to their little girl? So, of course, Delaney got her to wish. With her father pulling some strings behind the scenes Delaney was not only able to be an actress but become the star of her own TV-show Widow’s Peak as the character Melrose Aguilera. Think of Pretty little liars meets The hills and you have Widow’s Peak. A teen drama that every girl went crazy over. Being on the show only stroked Delaney’s ego further to the point she gained a reputation for being a diva - and not the good kind. Besides being rude to cast members and crew, Delaney was rude to fans. As she got older she began coming late into work, not having her lines memorized and caused unnecessary conflict between her and co-stars. But of course, Delaney never got reprimanded for her actions because the producers were afraid of what her dad might do to them. So Delaney’s behavior was excused. That is until she got caught up in the wrong crowd and ended up getting herself fired for being a drug addict. Delaney was another victim of the Hollywood fast lane. Her little problem is what got her booted off the show and into rehab for the summer. If only that was Delaney’s biggest problem that summer. Upon returning home Delaney had found out her father was incarcerated at Yonkers Penitentiary and was awaiting trial for multiple counts of embezzlement and fraud. However, despite his imprisonment, Mr. Riaz still ran his business and criminal empire from behind bars. Because of this Delaney and her mother ere forced to leave the lavish life they’ve always known and move. Delaney’s mother felt that her daughter needed a change so much to Delaney’s dismay her mother enrolled her into public education once more. the move to San Francisco was the new beginning. Intent on a fresh start, Delaney was nervous about learning to be a normal teenage girl, which felt utterly impossible for the girl since she felt anything but normal. Delaney had her ways however and planned on using her looks, body, and money to get what she wanted.
Delaney’s attitude didn’t exactly sit well with her new fellow students. The kids at Pohler high school weren’t too keen on allowing a new queen bee to try and take the reigns. But Delaney was intent on making herself known and having the school run her way. She made herself known even if it always wasn’t the best. The girl ended up making more enemies than friends in her first year there. It didn’t go exactly as planned. Her mother eventually got on her case about being friendly and trying to make an effort. This was their life now no matter how much Delaney disliked it. Her behavior was only making it worse. As her second year rolled by Delaney had basically vowed to her mother that she would try to be better - or at least decent compared to how she was last time. By some miracle, Delaney had managed to make friends with Anthony Scott, a shock that came to her as well, and also a girl named Goldi. Now Delaney had never been that good when it came to making friends with girls. Her intentions weren’t always true when it came to befriending her fellow gender. There was always a sleeve up her trick. However with Goldi it was different, Delaney knew that much from the get-go. The only thing it was different in the sense that she felt something more when she was around Goldi. As their friendship deepened, Delaney realized that she had developed a crush on Goldi, and began questioning her sexuality. You see, Delaney’s parents were strict Catholics and believed that homosexuality was a sin. If they fond out their precious daughter might like girls all hell would break loose. Hellbent on hiding her true identity, she began dating Anthony Scott in hopes of making herself straight, and whenever she felt attraction to a girl or a lack towards Anthony she flicked her burns to try to bury the feelings. However, like her habit of self-harming intensified and she couldn’t fake her relationship with Anthony any longer. During an intense make-out session with her boyfriend, she was forced to finally embrace her true self and came out to Anthony as gay. Luckily, Anthony was more than understanding and promise to keep her secret.
After coming out of the closet Delaney felt she had a new lease on life. At least that is until pictures of her surfaced kissing a girl, pictures which her mother obviously saw. When confronting her mother she simply shrugged it off insisting her daughter isn’t gay but simply confused and she’d get over the phase. It wasn’t the reaction Delaney had wanted and to be honest it hurt more than the one she expected. Her life seemed to spiral further once she was paired up with Jorah Mccoy as a partner. She wasn’t exactly Jorah’s biggest fan, the girl was too bubbly and bright for her liking, but she wasn’t the smartest girl in their class. She needed this grade. Besides, Jorah wasn’t too bad to look at. During one of their study sessions, Jorah had received a message from her best friend Sabrina saying goodbye. Delaney wasn’t an idiot. Without a second thought she drove the pair to Sabrina’s house. The sight they saw was one Delaney was still trying to forget to this day. After waiting in the hospital room for three hours they were given the good news that Sabrina would be okay. Luckily they had gotten to her in enough time. If they didn’t who knows what would have happened. It didn’t take long for Delaney’s mother to arrive to pick up her daughter. With the life scared out of her and a new sense of courage as well, Delaney was determined to confront her mother once more about accepting her for who she truly was. The incident with Sabrina proved to her that life was too short. So once in the car, Delaney admitted to her mother that she was, in fact, a lesbian and it wasn’t a phase. It got quiet. Too quiet. After a few minutes, her mother finally spoke and told her to pack her things and get out of the house. Delaney was disowned that night. With nowhere else to go, she returned to Anthony in hopes he would let her stay there. Much to her dismay, his parents informed the girl that their son had been relocated to Walt University for his anger management problems. It’s not like she had another choice so Delaney enrolled herself at Walt. There she would finally be able to be herself and perhaps make herself a decent person. However, a change of scenery wasn’t going to rid herself of the dark family secrets that still plagued her.

j o r a h m c c o y — the unlikely friend
she’s still annoying okay but Delaney can tolerate her now. they’re becoming closer which is nice. Delaney doesn’t have many friends other than Anthony so to know she’s become friends with Jorah Mccoy must mean she’s become a better person too. Why else would someone who’s the actual sun befriend someone like her? Especially after that kiss….they don’t talk about it. Nope.

SULLEY:
Sulley was having a rough day. He was drinking coffee that was far too bitter but his machine had broken so he’d had to settle for bought on the go coffee. His car had decided to not start which meant he had to get it looked at but it also meant he was late for work. He was aware he was the CEO and therefore could do what he wanted but he would never ask his employees to do something he couldn’t.
He sighed as he took another bitter sip while he waited for the bus.
Tumblr media
Delaney didn’t know why she thought going for a walk would help her boredom. She didn’t like walking that much, especially in the warmer time of the year - it was too sweaty. She missed having a chauffeur. That’s why she found herself taking a seat at a bus stop after a failed attempt at a morning stroll. Turns out, waiting for the bus was boring too - she really missed her chauffeur - and her mind wandered to the person sitting next to her. He looked... not great.
“You okay? You’re looking kinda stressed out. Like, I can see the frown lines forming before my eyes.”

FREDDY:
“Slime and eyeballs? No. Those are cheat gore effects. I’ll go for something more realistic if I choose that route…but i’m not. It’s tameI promise. I might deal with the unnatural but i’m not a complete heathen. I won’t use blood and guts.”
Tumblr media
“Look, Halloween is fine and all, but people focus way too much on the gory stuff. Thank goodness at least one person around here isn’t going to be trying to make this place as gross as possible. Wait, actually, back up. What do you mean you deal with the unnatural? Please tell me you’re not an occultist. It’d be such a waste of that face. And hair.”

“By Halloween decorations, I hope you don’t mean that I’m gonna start having to see slime and eyeballs and blood or whatever whenever I go shopping because I don’t think I can deal with that when it’s not even October.”

I went to hobby lobby today and saw that they had already put out their fall decorations. I must say, i’m pretty happy to see them and might have splurged a bit on halloween decorations.

“O-kay then,” Delaney said, more to herself than the other girl. “Are you always this depressing? Or is this just some weird pessimism-cynicism combo you’re working through right now?” She thought for a moment, then took a seat next on the curb next to her.
Tumblr media
“No brain at all,” Eeyore mumbled to herself from her spot on the curb, watching the people that passed by. “Just gray fluff. They don’t think, these people.”

MONTY:
Monty raised an eyebrow at that. Now he was a Lifetime movie character? Fantastic. He listened to her and tried not to get lost. She was asking a lot and probably something that Monty wouldn’t be able to answer her. “Listen, parents tend to have pretty high expectations of their kids. Me included. I think that the love we give our children should be unconditional. Not saying that we don’t get angry, upset, or disappointed but that doesn’t mean we stop loving them. I mean, at least I hope not. I know that I will love my kids regardless of what they do or who they love or the wrong they commit. If my kids did something I explicitly told them not to as adults, I’d want an explanation and we could work it out. Their mother’s opinion would matter but it all depends on the ‘horrible’ thing they do. I’m telling you I’ll still love them and care for them but I can’t speak on ‘theoretical’ parents.” Monty chuckled as checked that his kids were still running around the playground. “I think you have an important issue you want to discuss and a stranger is easier because I won’t judge and my opinion doesn’t really matter if it’s not the one you want to hear but yes, you lost me a bit. You can be a little more straight-forward if you want so I can give you a better answer.”
Tumblr media
Delaney nodded along to what he was saying, not entirely sure whether it was helping or not. Her heartbeat stuttered involuntarily at the request to be more straightforward. “I’m not -” she started, stopping herself quickly. Her insistence that the situation was theoretical was pointless. She should’ve said she was getting advice for a friend or something - that was much easier to play off. “As long as I’ll literally never see you again,” she muttered. She was quiet for a long moment after that, watching the kids and contemplating how much to say.
“My mother kicked me out. I was very aware of my own mortality on the way home from a hospital - which is another long story I’m not gonna get into - and made the -” she caught herself before she could say ‘mistake’, “- choice to tell her that me being gay wasn’t a phase. Long story short, she kicked me out or disowned me, whatever, and I wound up here, alone.” She was skipping and fast forwarding a lot, but she didn’t need to tell him more than the surface level stuff. “Before any of that, my dad was sent to prison. I’m pretty sure he’s still in prison. And I can’t decide if I want to visit him or not. But I also don’t know if my mother’s told him anything, so he might not even want to see me. So... yeah. Advice?”
