Armies are necessary, before all things, for the defense of governments from their own oppressed and enslaved subjects. - Leo Tolstoy

What you can do for the people of Palestine
The genocide going on in Palestine feels so massive that it's hard to imagine how any one person can help unless they have major political, social, or economic sway. But there are things that you can do:
One of the easiest things to do is to keep watching - to reblog posts and to comment. It feels small, but the Palestinians have been oppressed for decades now, and keeping them at the forefront of our minds is crucial. On platforms like TikTok, some creators are giving all the money generated by their posts to various Palestinian families, so by interacting as much as possible you can help to send aid to the people of Palestine even if you can't afford to give money.
Reaching out to your representative by phone, email, or even letter is also a helpful thing to do, as it lets them know that their constituents are watching their actions closely during this time.
There are likely local initiatives near you, especially if you live an a more progressive area: check the Students 4 Gaza site, for example, to see if there's an encampment near you. Active participation in protesting is, of course, encouraged, but there are other ways to support these groups too. For example, donating to the encampments some of the items on the list below:
Blankets, lawn chairs, tents
Water/energy drinks/electrolyte packages
Paper plates/utensils
Snacks - ideally non-perishable, (although things like popsicles and ice cream are appreciated in the heat) kosher, and halal.
Of course, check in with whatever group is near you to see what they need before you head to a store.
I know all these things are minor, but if nothing else, it lets the people in Gaza know that they are not being ignored, that they are supported.

‼️‼️
If you're having trouble keeping up with what's going on in Palestine because of US news coverage of university protests, here are some articles you can read and a video you can watch:
youtube
While CNN & all the other mainstream media try to paint the university protests as "pro terrorism" (which they're not, they're literally anti-war protests.) Palestinians are being slaughtered by the minute.
Please don't stop speaking about Palestine.

Intropost, cause why not?
Hi, I'm Molly! I'm a nerdy, gay trans-fem anarcho-communist who is great at hiding my autism, unless I've been reading about a subject and it gets brought up. (Ask me about art nouvea, high modernism, and fantasy among other things, it may be a while before I answer, but that's because if I'm exited enough I'll reference (a) book(s).)
I love many things, most of all my girlfriend Emily. I also love movies, books, and learning, but not on school premises, which I find incredibly stifling and restrictive. I also love RPGs even though I don't have anyone to play them with.
I'd describe myself as a "vibes" poster, like, I'm not gonna sit down and write a complex post about why capitalism is bad, I'm gonna post, "hey, your life would be so much better if you didn't have to pay to stay alive."
Also, I post things like this:
Tumblr media
Pure fucking vibes.
So yeah, hi there! Feel free to message me too, always up for a good chat! If I'm online at that specific time, which may not be the case, I'm not that much on social media. And if you don't suck, if you do, I'll block you.
...
You can tell I'm neurodivergent from how much I clarify things, huh?

Since the r-slur is making a comeback (you know, the word that starts with R, has six letters, and ends in D), I'm gonna make a little PSA:
Yes, it's an ableist slur.
Terms like "asshat," "head-up-ass," "up their own ass," and "high on their own farts" exist. There's also words like crap, dogshit, half-assed, assclown, and chucklefuck. And on the less vulgar side, there are terms like ridiculous, nonsense, train wreck, pointless, insipid, self-absorbed, pretentious, annoying, boring, contemptible, vile, and disgusting.
Substituting words like restarted, poptarted, brain damaged, smoothbrain, etc. is still ableist, because either 1. you obviously still mean the r-word, or 2. you're still using disability as an insult.

A pike jumped out of the water likely chasing prey and got stuck in a branch and died. Now, a bird has made a nest in its mouth. One of the most interesting things I’ve seen.

"Why are there so many female archers in fiction?"
Please forgive the clickbait-y title! This is a super complex and interesting topic that I barely scratch the surface of here, but I hopefully will be able to do more justice to things like this in the future!
Also, it's not the point of the video, but I had fun with the outfits in this- do you have any faves?
As always, please consider supporting me on Patreon if you can, or watching on youtube if not!
