i like having a blog because i can look back at how i post at different times of my life and i can smell my energy, my vibe, my mental state. i have quite bad memory so i value this especially. i like using tumblr because it introduces me to some of the strangest and most delightful people i know.
i dislike using tumblr because this place is like a mental trap. i refresh my dash endlessly and constantly want to see notes/interactions/whatever. monke brain is well and truly hooked up with the electrodes. i dislike using tumblr because (like most parts of the internet) it is in active decay, growing worse and worse and worse and worse through bad management, filled with bots, idiots, and other things that are generally unappealing.
i keepusing tumblr because that while i use it, there is always the possibility that the next refresh of the dash will bring me a new point of view, a new favourite piece of art, or most tantalisingly, a new friendship. the potential for these alone is enough for the dopamine hooks to be in place, and i sit, not unlike the vegas slot machine drone, pulling the lever until i get that bar bar bar.
i dont really like that. i dont think its conducive to happiness. im gonna take a break, msg me if you want my discord or my phone # for whatsapp

Call me Byron. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.
