She looked at me, firmly. With no doubt this was a crucial moment for both me and her. The pillows screamed endless stories of drunken and fighting nights, many of them with make up sex in between rounds. The sheets were full of battle stains, marks of sorrow, sadness and suicidal thoughts. Desires that one can’t speak out loud for fear of evil spirits looking for them. She stood up walked slowly towards me and lay her hands on my face. Yolanda kissed me softly while her hands run down my face, her presence was there, she was close but far away more than ever. “you’ll be back to me sooner or later and I won’t be far away” she said. I kissed and felt her bitter taste one more time. I closed the cap and against my will I put the bottle back in the cabinet. Yolanda… a fifty year old bottle of scotch stayed at home, Yolanda, my only true love will be there for me sooner or later, I know it.
