What cashier say: Try sliding your card one more time please :)

What they mean: GOD COULD YOU JUST WAIT TWO MORE SECONDS BEFORE SLIDING YOUR DAMN CARD IM NOT EVEN DONE RINGING UP YOUR ITEMS CALM DOWN

Getting my first job at Charlotte Russe

So this happened on January 5th, 2017 on a Thursday. I went to the mall to get my eyebrows done and decided to go to Charlotte Russe to buy a shirt for a party. Meanwhile I look like absolute crap. No makeup, baggy hoodie, skinny jeans, combat boots, and my hair poofy and not even done. I was talking to the Manager and telling her what I was looking for and she goes “Alyssa! Go help the teeny bopper.” Now this is the Manager that would ask me for 3 years if I was 18 yet to work at the store so I responded with “Oh! I’m 18 now by the way.” and she just laughed and replied with “EXCUSE me! The grown woman.” and I was taken back by it, but I knew she was joking so I wanted to recorrect myself because I didn’t want to be one of those kids that think they’re grown just because they’re 18. “No no no, I meant I’m 18 now because I been wanting a job here for the longest time.” and then I was talking to the Assistant Manager Alyssa who was an absolutely lovely girl, she was so nice and everything. She told me to apply online and if I was in the yellow she would hire me.

When I got home that very day, I applied online, called the store, and she told me I was in the yellow and that my interview would be on Monday. I get to the store and I’m looking really nice, makeup on, high heels, skinny jeans and everything. I told them I was in for my interview but Alyssa wasn’t there because she had a rough night so instead I was interviewed by another girl named Erika. She brought me to the front of the store and asked me 1 question. 

“So if you were a customer at Charlotte Russe how would you want to be treated.”

and I answered honestly and she happened to like my answer.

Second question.

“So did Alyssa and Trixie (Main manager) recruit you?”

I told her how they both told me to apply online because I been wanting to work there since 18.

And this part makes me laugh the most.

“Well I don’t know what to ask you to be completely honest, because Alyssa told me that she really liked you a lot and that you were going to be hired.. I might as well just tell you up front since you came out here all this way.”

3 minute interview!

I was so happy and shocked at the same time.

And I was told to call the next day at 5 pm, and ask what time for the orientation on Sunday :)
