glowing up my morning routine <3

i just finished my core classes as a homeschooler and i am a very antisocial person, so i spend most of my time in the house. i'd love to change that and just make myself feel better !!

waking up when i feel like it, but right away. i am not allowing myself to go back to sleep-- once my eyes are open, im up!

not going on any screen right away. i sleep with my phone next to me (which i do not want to change because my mom goes out to work early + i need to make sure she can reach me easily if she needs to) which tends to lead to me immediately going on my socials. i want to have atleast 20-30 mins to myself..! i have a "getting ready" playlist for the mornings, so i'll play that while i eat breakfast + stretch

stretching!! i normally do pilates in the middle of the day right before i eat lunch. this honestly wasn't the best choice since i was sitting at my desk all day and wasn't stretched for the first three hours. i do a 25 minute routine on "move with nicole"'s youtube channel !

journaling. this is a habit i really want to get into, i love seeing cute spreads all over my fyp. i have a collection of sanrio stickers that i never use + i have a digital journal but it's just not the sameee

writing and no, not journaling lol. i adore writing stories on a diff acc but i have kind of slowed down a series im currently writing. ive been so into video games + watching videos that i haven't been writing too much and my page is just very dry

my daily routine as a homeschooled teen ୨୧

i start schoolwork at 9am and usually work for 3-4 hours with breaks ! so heres what i do on those breaks

i try to read atleast 30 mins every day !

i also do a 25 min pilates routine. i always do this video by move with nicole, i love her channel !!

i normally eat lunch at 11:30-12ish but since i dont do zoom classes, i can eat whenever

then i normally work on my comms discord server a bit! ive only gotten one order (i do gfxs btw) but i do lots of gfx trades ! but when im not working on them, ill advertise my work in other servers

then im free to do pretty much whatev ! i watch gossip girl, play roblox, or call my friend for a while up until 3-4ish when i take a shower

i eat dinner around 5 and watch a show with my family afterward for about an hour

i relax in my room for a bit until 9 when i turn off my lights and get comfortable in bed <3

books i read in april + my thoughts

breaking dawn by stephanie myers this is the fourth and final book in the twilight saga (excluding the extra books like midnight sun, the short second life of bree tanner, etc). i loved the series and i think this was a fabulous ending ! i do wish we didn't get jacob's pov for a few chapters though. i was kinda bored :( overall loved it tho !

little women by louisa may alcott im actually not finished with this yet lol i still have like 90 more pages. but i really do love the purity of it all. i watched two movie adaptations (1997 + 2019) before reading the novel and i must say, it's pretty different from both. quick example (spoiler alert !!), it's much more evident that laurie fell in love with amy even before proposing to jo. the way he'd tease and look after her foreshadowed what was to come. though i really love this book mainly because i don't have any sisters and find myself relating to each and every march. and it's so realistic !! i seriously thought that i was gonna get bored while reading this bc it's a story im already familiar with as i've watched the 2019 movie at least ten times. but the book seriously is very different while still painting the same picture.
