some short/messy Vergil with a crush headcanons to get me back into writing might be a lil ooc but we ball
- Vergil's pretty wary of his feelings at first, scared of getting attached. Everyone he's ever been close to is hurt because of him. Because he couldn't protect them. So he pushes his feelings deep down till he just physically can't bare it anymore.
- he becomes a little more protective over you, lingering closer to you than ever and constantly checking on you. Though, he says it's just because "you need to be in peak condition when fighting by his side."
- has trouble receiving compliments from you, with anyone else he just nods his head and hums, but with you he tends to choke up. Even a simple "great job" from you has him sputtering out a thank you.
- takes forever for him to finally admit his attraction to you, even with Nero and Dante's constant encouragement. And while he's doing his best to feign confidence, it's rather obvious it's nervous. From the way his eyes dart around to the constant stopping and starting in his speech.
Very short just some silly ideas I jotted down :3

- tries his best to take care of him, wants to be a good father figure for the kid. More like a fun uncle than a really big father figure, at least at first.
- if a relationship between the two of you starts to become something more permanent, he does try to be a father. Makes an effort for the kid since he knew what it was like not to have a father for a while
- he's not surprised to learn you have a kid, after all there are plenty of single parents in the world, but he is excited to meet them.
- I'd say Dante gets along very well with kids, idk just something about him being so silly and goofy
Random headcanon I think Dante would be a very big girl dad.

- is a little less thrilled about a kid, more distant than Dante at least. He worries about being close to you, and your kid too.
- I think vergil would be a little bit shocked if he found out you had a kid, but it's not crazy for him to imagine. Probably not something he had even thought about being the case though.
- he's a lot stricture than Dante, but he never becomes too pushy or overbearing over the kid. He does make efforts to take care of them though. Does occasionally get overprotective over them though

a/n: went for a sort of them finding out their s/o is a demon after they've started dating, because I thought that concept could be silly. Also male reader is never explicitly stated but it's sorta implied (since I always use you to refer to reader)
ᴅᴀɴᴛᴇ
- does freak out a little bit first. It's not uncommon for demons to try and get a human attached to them before they kill them. So it's sets off a few red flags. Once you explain to him why you didn't tell him you were a demon, he seems to calm down a little bit.
- he does think it's super cool though, if you haven't met Trish already be prepared to get aquainted with her
- would love to see you fighting with him, nice to have a demon on his side for once.
ᴠᴇʀɢɪʟ
- he does try his best to sit and listen, ignores the urge within him to grab his sword, and instead allows you to explain to him
- a little wary at first due to the numerous amounts of demons that have tried to gain his trust/use him
- but he knows you, he knows everything about you. If you really were out to get him you would've already taken him out. So he relaxes, for the most part. Though occasionally he still feels nervous, but that feeling would go away with time.

- he's constantly analyzing every single piece of clothing you wear, from the craftsmanship to the quality to the intricate detailing.
- he's always eager to listen to you talk about music to literature, uses it as inspo for what he should get into next. That way if you ever happen to ask him if he's familiar with something he can say yes and then pretend like he had no idea you'd asked him about it before

- Dante's a huge flirt, so for him to mistake your flirting you must be a massive tease. Can't tell if you want him dead or want him type tease
- it's fun at first, back and forth banter slowly devolving into the most thinly veiled flirting ever but dear God is he losing his mind
- after playing along for a while he just wants you to tell him how you feel about him already. Stop mocking him already and just tell him how you feel
- once he figures out that that's how you flirt he'll be a major pain in the ass

- he's freaking out even more than Dante is. Barely has any idea what flirting is and now that you're mocking him he's really taking a hit to his ego.
- he's practically bashing his head in trying to figure out why you keep being so mean to him yet hang around him
- has to get someone to explain it to him that you actually like him and are just mean to him because of that
- always has something to say back though, it's pretty impressive honestly. He's so sassy too.

A/n: so this ended up turning into partially um general nsfw headcanons so my apologies if it's not super specific to only friends with benefits 😓
ᴅᴀɴᴛᴇ
- Dante is quite literally the king of aftercare, anything you need/want he's got it. If you ask him real nice he'll even run a bath for you (though you might wanna ask if he paid his water bill first)
- surprisingly he doesn't make it awkward, he still manages to look at you the same way he did before rearranging your guts.
- he does like to tease you about it though, just some playful banter here and there. Anytime you say something mean to him he gets a kick out replying with "that's not what you were saying about me last night!!" Even on the 1000th time of saying it, it's still funny to him
- once he figures out that he likes you more than just a friend he's always trying to get you to stay as long as you can afterwards
- occasionally he lets out little 'i love you's during while he's fucking you and if you ask him about it afterwards he'll act like he's never even heard that sentence before.
- despite his confident exterior, it takes a while for him to finally say anything to you. But by God is he thrilled once he's finally told you, and even more so when you tell him how you feel the same
ᴠᴇʀɢɪʟ
- while Dante generally knows what to do after the act, Vergil's always a little distant. Never mean or anything just quiet. He's trying to process his feelings so you gotta give him time
- he knows he loves you, just doesn't wanna risk making things weird with you, y'know?
- despite what a lot of people say, I think vergil tends to be more gentle, and with you especially more passionate. Of course he can get rough when he's angry or just in that mood but I think he'd be pretty soft in bed.
- mumbling sweet nothings that you can't understand but he can. It satiates him for a while, close enough to being your lover without actually being your lover
- honestly I think you'd have to tell him you love him first, he's so emotionally constipated he'd probably just sit on his feelings of you and try and ignore them.

a/n: first post on this blog, my request box is open for Dante and Vergil requests. Next post will have request box rules and who I plan on writing for
ᴅᴀɴᴛᴇ
- I think Dante would be very touchy with his partner, it's how he shows his affection. Anytime he can he has to have some part of him touching you.
- he'd be very cuddly, gentle giant kinda guy. And he's probably always warm too, cuddling up with him makes it damn near impossible to use any blankets without sweating like crazy.
- im a firm believer in Dante cant cook to save his life, but he loves to sit in the kitchen with you if you cook. All he does is sit there and gossip and grab stuff from the tall cabinets.
- favorite thing to think about personally is him scrambling to clean up before you come over, no matter how long you guys have been together. Lady and Trish know exactly when you're coming over due to finding him frantically cleaning so many times.
ᴠᴇʀɢɪʟ
- Vergil's not home as often as Dante is, so calm quality time with him is a rarity. I feel like it's not something he's ever really thought about as much, since he didn't really need somewhere to eat or sleep, so once you enter the picture it's a little new for him
- he likes to read to you, hold you close and just be in your presence. Just being around you makes him so happy it's almost scary to him. You just make him feel so weak.
- I think vergil has a general idea of how to cook, but obviously since he's never really had to bother he's definitely not the greatest. But he can at least cook a meal without setting off the smoke detector.
- I think his way of showing affection is acts of service. Physical affection I think would be pretty new to him as he probably hasn't felt the embrace of anyone since he was a boy and maybe the lady in red.
First time writing for these guys! I haven't done a full analysis of both their characters yet but I've been wanting to write something for them both for a while
