#DET4RDE. 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 .

RULES.

hello! my name is tea, or you may know me from previous blogs as tinez, whichever is fine! please, give the rules a thorough read before you follow and don't hesitate to reach out if there are any questions at all.

001. shipping: i am 28 years old, for my own comfort i will not be shipping with any writer below the age of 21. nsfw may occur, it will always be properly tagged and under a rm. ships (romantic, platonic, antagonistic) are some of my favorite areas to explore so please do not hesitate to reach out if you have a dynamic in mind!

002. selectivity: i will not follow blogs that post their replies as images or write real-life people. i hardblock on sight at any indication of shipping and/or writing inc*st, nsfw involving minors, harmful stereotypes, or bigotry. if i do not follow you, please do not engage with my ic content, i will softblock if this rule is broken. this blog is 18+ only, if you do not have your age stated somewhere on your blog i will not follow you back.

003. duplicates: once i have an established dynamic with a writing partner, i rarely follow / follow back other portrayals of the same character / original characters with the same face claim. this does not need to be reciprocated, it's just how i function!

004. activity: i work full-time mon-fri, so the speed of my replies does not reflect my interest but more so my workload offline. if you have a reply pending from me, feel free to ask the status of it, but keep in mind that i am not a quick writer. this applies to ooc as much as it does ic. i have periods of extended absence from tumblr and social media, which is not compatible with everyone. if i drop off the face of the earth and reply to an im several weeks later, know that it isn't personal and that i do not hold it against anyone who decides it's not their cup of tea.

005. triggers: all triggers known to me will be tagged with a standard tw: trigger tag. if there is something regularly appearing in my content that you need tagged please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

006. interactions: liking interaction calls or sending memes are the best ways to start up interactions with me. mutuals are also welcome to drop into my IMS or ask about my disc.

sibéal ( labelle ) de'tarde, human fighter.

bastion ( labelle ) de'tarde, tiefling rogue.

bastion and sibéal are brother and sister, born eight years apart to the renowned sorceress manon labelle and her high society husband ignacio de'tarde. sibéal, the first-born, spent the first eight years of her life in the lavish labelle family estate, receiving the most sought after magical training as a birthright. the labelles were an ancient family of sorcerers who's influence on the community around them had been immense for several hundred years; for as long as anyone could remember there had been a labelle in the public eye, wielding their powers for the good of the people.

dark secret. a pact, made in a young city by a young man. every few years, a labelle child will be born sprouting horns and a tail. a child marked for sacrifice for the continuation of the pact.

when sibéal is eight years old, her younger brother is born. he is a screaming pink bundle, but the hue is not that of any human child. the baby boy is a shocking shade of pink, and two bulging nubs protrude from his forehead. bastion is marked for sacrifice.

manon tears her way through the birth-chamber only moments after having given birth. that night the little family escape the labelle estate, and vanish into faerun.

after a long journey, they eventually arrive in baldur's gate, where they live anonymous lives. for a short time they can keep bastion disguised, but one morning when manon casts the spell, it backfires and instead twists flames up her arms, wretching her in pain. with the pact unsatisfied, the magic has not only abandoned the labelle family, but as punishment the formerly famed sorcerers now suffer wild magic surges when in the proximity of spellcasting. the labelles have become allergic to the very thing they claimed as their birthright.

abandoned by her magic and irreversibly damaged by that first surge of wild magic, manon no longer feels able to protect her family on her own. instead, she turns to her daughter, and begins to raise a soldier capable of protecting them both in her place.

through the years in baldur's gate, sibéal hones her abilities and becomes a force to be reckoned with, while bastion spends most of his time trying to live a life as shrunken into himself as possible, being taught to fear what lurks around every corner.

when bastion is 23 and sibeal 31, they've grown into very different people. bastion is a well-manned, soft spoken young man with sloping shoulders. he grows his hair out to cover the horns, keeps his tail wrapped tightly around his leg as to avoid drawing attention, and spends his days solving other people's problems. sibéal on the other hand is a stoic, no-nonsense woman.
