Dear 2023, this moment has to be.
Shall we say goodbye and call it history?
Every hideous thing that could have come forth,
came rushing in like a Trojan horse!
There were pandemics and diseases, too many to believe,
riots and lawmakers too ignorant to achieve!
Carjacking and street takeovers by those who are bad
and our favorite stores closing made most of us mad!
This wild ride referred to as the previous year,

A SONGWRITER’S THOUGHTS:
Dear Lovelies,
As a songwriter, where my thoughts go, my music flows; this is wonderful for creating a story that takes the listener where I want to take them however, where it isn’t so wonderful is when I am not controlling my thoughts.
“4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
The above scripture refers to so many thought patterns however, in this post, I will remind you to be careful not to buy into the lie that you have to work, work, work, go, go, go to achieve things you dream: Relax, trust GOD, take your time, have a plan, write it down, and then allow things to unfold as intended.
“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” Psalm 139:16
HERE’S THE NUGGET: Accomplishing things in stress and angst will only leave you unsatisfied (and miserable to be around), and if you cannot feel satisfied, you will never be happy in or with anything entrusted to you. Luke 16:10
