Matcha Yuzu Tart!
The tart is made in-house and made of almond flavours and the fillings are matcha and yuzu. (FYI- Yuzu is a Japanese citrus lemon that is valued for its highly aromatic rind.) The almond tart base in crispy while the matcha and yuzu works perfectly while matcha is rich in flavour while the yuzu is giving refreshing taste. You will never get sick of this taste and one is not enough to share! The price for one Matcha Yuzu Tart is RM13.90.

The shop is just located at the front door of Sutera Mall. Customers may find difficult to see the shop from the mall, but just walking out to the front door, Coffee Valley will be on your left hand side, opposite of Verbena Cake Shop.

For this week, one of the cafes we visited is Cocorico. Cocorico is a café that specialized in Volcano Cheese Tart. The café has a simple interior yet cozy environment. All the furniture and decoration are made of wood. The designer of café wished to give customers a sense of home and make them feel relax in this space. The desserts are really pretty and suitable for a well spend time having high tea in this café. Upon entering the café, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the cakes in the cake display as well as the beautiful and colourful meringues. Cocorico offers cakes, tarts, waffles and beverages.
There are different flavours of cheese tart for customers like original and chocolate volcano cheese tart.

For matcha lover, you should try their tarts that made by Uji Matcha! The secret ingredients and imported cheese make cheese tart tasted different from others. With the bitter taste of matcha blend with cheese, that melts emerge Uji Matcha fragrance. Unlike usual matcha mousse that makes people get sick if they ate too much at one go. Bearkery House which located in Taman Molek Jb, is a bakery house and cafe as well. Operating for more than 4 months, it serves freshly baked bread daily, delicious Japanese thick toast and also main course such as spagetti or rice.
Instead of cafe looking, Bearkery’s environment more to a bakery shop. Bright lights and spacious space make it very comfortable to spend time in.
Japanese Matcha Thick French Toast
Think toast with premium matcha flavored, serve with vanilla-ish green tea ice cream and whipped cream, plus edible juicy strawberry. Buttery thick loaf will make you feel awesome!

Pinkish lovers attention!
For this week, we visited one of the famous soft serve ice cream shop- Koone!
Soft serve Ice cream is the latest dessert across the globe, and this is one of the must in your list of JB cafehopping list, Koone! It located in Johor Bahru’s oldest street, which is along the stretch where The Replacement Lodge & Kitchen situated, and 3 to 4 doors away from The Ice Cream Project (TIP). The exterior is in bright pink, and it makes the café so conspicuous in that area.
Soft serve ice cream is really exactly the same as regular ice cream, but softer. The ice cream machine is simply set to put more air in the ice cream to make it soft.

Behind the big pink swinging door, few enthusiastic servers are waiting to greet their customers behind the counter. The café is 2 storeys high, it is recommended for you to have seat on upstairs if you have more than 4 people because it is much more spacious than downstairs.
The café is full of pink and white, so guys, bring your girls here and they will definitely be addicted!
When served, it was put into two paper cups with the bottom paper cups containing dry ice. The dry ice was meant to be an effect to create a misty appearance. This misty effect would be gone in a minute or so. So be quick to snap some photo of this misty effect.
Hokkaido Matcha (RM14)
It is made from premium Japanese green tea, with Japanese Dango and honey as well. It tastes creamy and smooth, yet not overly sweet, which is very suitable for public. It is also distinct and not overwhelmed by the milky or vanilla taste.
The BASIC costs RM10 each and flavors including French vanilla, dark chocolate, nova yogurt and Japanese Matcha. Then pay adding RM4 each, you can ‘upgrade’ to vanilla crumble, 66% dark chocolate, nano yogurt or Hokkaido Matcha (actually adding special toppings into each). Of course, if you wish to have further special one, you can order Henna, Matcho, or Breakfast, which costs around RM22-RM24.

If you are planning to pay a visit, keep alert when finding a parking place, since the outlets located at a very narrow alley. However, there are few private parking lots located few minute walk away from the outlets with a parking fee staring from RM3
