Just sharing my work as I tackle the world of making wrestling gear for some really talented people.

Revolution 2024 gear for Wardlow actually did this look in two different color ways but we clearly see that he wore the black one. I did film and document the process of making it so maybe I’ll do something with it but I don’t know yet.

hi!! love your work! how did you get started in gear making? and what would you say is your favorite part of the process?
Hey!! Thank you so much! I’ve known since I was young I wanted to design costumes for wrestlers and back then technology was so different. I dug around to try to find who does this and how do I do it? My friend found a vice article on MySpace of all places that mentioned Ms Sandra in it and I saved that info and put it on a vision board (I was in hs at the time) I studied fashion design in college and all I ever talked about was making gear and people didn’t get it. Anywho in my college years Twitter and Facebook and social media started to become popular so I tried networking with any and everyone to try to know how do I get into this. I even got a master degree from full sail because I knew they had a relationship doing nxt. I was going to every wrestling show every wrestlemania just networking trying to figure it out. I had a friend and he went to EVERYTHING and he used to take my sketches and show them to wrestlers too.
Eventually Ms Sandra joins I wanna say IG and we connected and I just told her I was interested in making gear and how so I start and we just built a friendship over social media and all this time I’m working in corporate for a major company do well for myself but I didn’t want to be doing that the rest of my life so I found out Sandra was moving back to Georgia and I said I’m moving where you are so I can legit learn how to do this. I quit my job took my 401k and everything and drove 12hrs to Atlanta and never looked back. It took me a couple years to get the hang of it I struggled so bad with confidence and feeling intimidated by how good other people were at it but granted Sandra and the others have been doing it for over 30 years so I just had to find my strengths and hone in on those, and here I am now 🥰
My favorite part I have a couple seeing a concept for the first time especially with designers I collaborate with is always fun. Going shopping for materials is like Christmas. No cap the best part for me is doing the crystals because that’s always the very last thing to get done so the pressure is off and it’s a very therapeutic process and it’s something I’ve become ridiculously fast at. Of course seeing the finished product on the client and seeing it fits and they look and feel good is amazing too.
