Uploader's description:
Discover design possibilities by simulating real-world physical phenomena and characteristics, like gravity and wind, in real time. Analyze the effects of different materials and internal and external constraints and create forms that would be impossible to model by hand. When editing a loadable mass family, you will find these tools on the Nucleus tab. The Nucleus plugin is integrated into Vasari, but if you'd like to find out more or give us specific feedback, please visit the Nucleus LABS page: http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/nucleus/

Aww...
Rob didn't look at my Layout file because the PDF didn't work.. I'm sad. :[
(and now I realize I am using this blog the way it shouldn't be used, as a personal diary.)

Layout
it's irritating that the Google Layout on my laptop does not function properly.
everytime I want to send a view to Layout I have to close out of Layout completely. the views in Sketchup also do not sync properly. if I synced all of the views properly, the Layout would not be correct. when Layout exports to a PDF, all of the views re-sync so the resulting PDF has incorrect views. I need to redo it on a school computer where Layout actually works right.. :/

rather than setting a louver angle to adjust the direction louvers face, the admittance of sunlight become the preset options.

new discovery, sun elevation is the command I wanted to adjust the louvers according to the location of the sun in the sky (as opposed to sun angle).
adding 90 degrees to the sun elevation allows the blades to face the sun perpendicularly, to block it out. clicking on the blades redraws the louver to refresh to the new designated time.
