Solaris was getting used to the new normal. He genuinely liked sitting and reading in the same room as her; he liked being around her. He looked up when she spoke. "I don't gotta do anything, I'm choosing to hang out with someone I care about." He smirked. "As long as you'll tolerate me, I'll be here. You're not made of glass so I didn't plan on it."
Kate looked up from her book, staring at the boy who sat boy her bed, looking through an old magazine. "You don't gotta stay with me you know." She said softly. "Though...it's nice. Just having someone here. Someone who isn't walking on egg shells, treating me like I'm gonna break."

Eurydice listened and gave a small nod. Forcing away someone's memories, magical or not, always had consequences. And she definitely didn't want him danger. "I understand." Like she said, it helped some, didn't help others. And it had to be up to them to decide.
"I'll get you some. She'd be happy to make you a batch." She smiled softly. "Fleur is very good at helping people. If she wasn't a fairy, I'd believe she was an angel or something."
Quentin looked at Eurydice. "When I was little...when everything happened with Freddy. Our parents basically gaslit us all into forgetting. So I don't know if I'd want that again. He was upset that we forgot. I don't want to give him a reason to come back." He explained.
"But I would be interested in something that could help. Maybe something for dreamless sleep. That tea sounds like it might be just the thing."

i think about god of war era icarus a lot.
he was away from his family for like roughly 9 months, longer in some universes. for about 5 months of that, he was dead. but for 4 months, he was alive more or less being the literal god of war. trying to make it a deity people didn't have to be scared of, but rather someone that would protect them.
