Have you heard the good word about the Pembrokeshire walrus yet?
This walrus is fucken lost.
But Wales has lost its collective shit about it. They’re generally keeping its location secret to keep people away, but we get updates every day if it’s still here, if it’s happy, if it’s healthy. We think it was in Ireland about two weeks ago, which is interesting, because it is not actually native to Ireland either. Why is it here? No one knows.
It seems to like Pembrokeshire beaches.

Brushes I use
Hello all, I don’t have the first clue how to write this in a concise non-rambling manner, so we’re just going to go for it. I use Photoshop CS6.
Brushes you should get:
Kyle Webster sets Megapack, Concept, Gouache (if you don’t have updated Photoshop, ask someone who does to save out the ABR files for you)
Optional: Alex Negrea’s set for added flavor (also free, thank him for me)
I always use brushes at 100% opacity; it helps your marks to look intentional. I occasionally lower the opacity of a layer, but not the brush. I also use a lot of clipping masks to color the lines & add detail inside a silhouette.
One of my all-purpose brushes got lost in my google drive cleaning, it’s an oil pastel brush in a kind of rhombus shape. The softer tones—you’ll see I like to add a little bit of orange-red around the fingers/cheeks—are done with a gouache brush (Kyle’s megapack or gouache set).
Welcome to Kyle Webster Brushes!
Update May 2020: I use this brush all the time. It’s also good to experiment with random brushes every so often because I wasn’t using this brush before mid 2019! Kyle’s Paintbox: Gouache Bonus Gritty Dry. If you’re able to zoom in, the lines have a bit more grit than other pieces.
A deeper dive under the cut! + body horror + SUPER long post warning

So I Have a Tiny Chicken
Keep in mind, it’s not a batam chicken, it has some birth defect that makes it smaller than an average small chicken, we think. I don’t know. We didn’t expect this.
This is Cicero.
We thought Cicero was a rooster, mostly from fear of him being a hen and trying to lay an egg, only to end up egg bound.
Well, today we learned that Cicero the Rooster is actually Cicero the Hen.
AND LOOK
AT WHAT
SHE LAID
A TINY EGG.
I’VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT.
IF WE HATCH IT WOULD A TINIER CHICKEN BE HATCHED??
WILL IT CONTINUE UNTIL WE HAVE THE SMALLEST CHICKEN IN THE WORLD??
WHY DID MY SISTER NAME THE CHICKEN AFTER HER MATH TEACHER??
WHAT IS GOING ON???????

Been thinking a LOT about what modern hearthcraft looks like. The intersection of my practice and my politics. The celtic tradition of hospitality…

It’s such a shame that so many people forget that the -punk suffix on cyberpunk and solarpunk referred to anarchism and/or anti-capitalism and it’s not just, like, -stuck but for alternate history
