We visited @robertweissart this week, and his new work is stunning.  The first canvas in this post is a painting of Hermann Göring set after his expulsion from the Nazi party and just before his capture and subsequent Nuremburg trials.  It's an incredible piece in person, a beautiful combination of impressionism and postmodernism, and to hear Bobby discuss the subject matter is quite a treat.     The second canvas in this post is of an heiress awaiting the day that she will be captured during WWII.  This piece is unique because the work transforms as you move closer or further away:  some of the brushstrokes are fascinating up close with tiny details, then as you move further away, some of the larger more abstract gestural brushstrokes fall into focus revealing entirely new objects.   These works are currently available to see in person by appointment at @expositiongallery (at Exposition gallery) https://www.instagram.com/p/CHl1C8vHrzS/?igshid=1r9ru61qrklxj
