Hello! As a prompt, can I ask for an AU where WWX says "fuck it", gives the seal to the Jins, and disappears from the cultivation world with the Wens. At first ppl are happy, then they realize letting Jin Guangshan having the seal was a huge ass mistake, and now they have to find WWX, swallow their pride and ask for help.

Untamed verse

“In retrospect, Wei Wuxian shouldn’t have given Jin Guangshan the Yin Tiger Seal.”

“What choice did he have? Jin Guangshan had him over a barrel, especially with what he did in defense of the Wen sect…”

“At least he only abused his power to defend people, rather than –”

“Shh! Don’t say it specifically. He might hear.”

Lan Wangji continued walking, his head held high, and didn’t allow any sign of his displeasure to rise to the surface. It was all well and good for the various small cultivators to regret it now that Wei Wuxian was gone, but weren’t they among those who spoke against Wei Wuxian when he was still here? It was partly their disdain and revulsion that cause Wei Wuxian to give up, to give up the seal, to retreat from the world without leaving the slightest trace behind beyond the empty dwellings of the Burial Mound…

It had been a few years now.

At first, the cultivation world had celebrated Wei Wuxian’s disappearance; in fact, the only thing they regretted was that he hadn’t been killed outright. The right way for the end of such a tragedy, they said, was a grandiose battle that would live up to the rest of his legend – but Lan Wangji knew that their real motive was so that they could say to all who listened that they participated in taking him down.

And Jin Guangshan – with the power of the Yin Tiger Seal in his hand – had become Chief Cultivator, showering everyone with the Jin sect’s riches. The Nie sect had protested, but wasn’t interested in starting another war, and all the junior sects were inclined to support it.

It hadn’t been long before that had spoiled.

Jin Guangshan had always enjoyed having things go his own way, after all – and he’d never been good at restraining himself, especially when it came to women. At first it was limited to those who didn’t have the ability to protest, but after the first one did…

The Yin Tiger Seal gave him too much power. Who could resist him?

The first time Jin Guangshan wiped out a clan, he’d come up with an excuse for it. But when he got away with that, it seemed to go to his head, and he stopped even pretending after that. Female cultivators fled Lanling in droves, whether they could afford to do so or not, and the sects who tried to make trouble faced disaster.

The junior sects turned to the three Great Sects, but they had their own troubles. Jiang Cheng’s sister had disappeared, her son with her, and Jiang Cheng was certain that Jin Guangshan was behind it, though Lan Wangji personally suspected that Wei Wuxian might have had something to do with it – assuming he could get news from wherever-he-was, he would never leave his shijie to suffer.

Lan Wangji’s own sect…

A frown surfaced on Lan Wangji’s face, just as it always did when he thought about it. Jin Guangshan had seen the noises the Nie sect and the Lan sect were making about him; he’d sacrificed a pawn to trip them up, and very successfully, too.

The former Jin Guangyao – Jin Guangshan had cast him out of Lanling and told both his sworn brothers about the various things he’d done. Obviously, everyone knew that he’d undoubtedly done it at Jin Guangshan’s instigation, but he’d still done them…and he was the only one clever enough to think of using the Song of Clarity, Lan Xichen’s gift, as a method to poison Nie Mingjue through his family’s hereditary weakness.

The revelation had very nearly destroyed Lan Xichen, and Nie Mingjue wasn’t much better. The former had largely withdrawn into seclusion, while the latter had temporarily removed himself from his role as sect leader in order to try to heal the damage. Nie Huaisang had temporarily assumed the position, nearly red-eyed with rage that reminded everyone that his share of the family inheritance was merely latent rather than absent – Lan Wangji worked closely with Nie Huaisang these days, managing the resistance against Jin Guangshan.

They got along well. Lan Wangji had his own rage to work through, too – for Lan Xichen, of course, but not just that.

For Wei Wuxian, too.

Jiang Cheng was the third member of their group. They weren’t as easy with each other, as Lan Wangji couldn’t quite let off his suspicion that he knew where Wei Wuxian was and just wasn’t telling.

Lan Wangji couldn’t blame him if that were the case, and yet…

Their efforts had borne some fruit, creating a division in the cultivation world between them – they weren’t powerful enough to attack Lanling, but Jin Guangshan was too lazy to do much more than rule his own territory and occasionally lash out at people who disagreed with him, even from a distance. Even with the Yin Tiger Seal, he didn’t have the heart of a conqueror, and that was the only thing keeping them all safe.

It wouldn’t last, though. He lashed out more and more, his temperament affected by the resentful energy, his psyche cracking – one day, he’d attack, and they’d lose hundreds of lives trying to stop him.

At least, they would if they couldn’t find someone to beat Jin Guangshan at his own game.

They needed Wei Wuxian.

Lan Wangji needed Wei Wuxian.

He was on his way to the Lotus Pier once more to beg Jiang Cheng to share what he knew, if he knew it; perhaps this time, he would be successful.

Perhaps this time, he’d be able to show Wei Wuxian that he’d stand by his side, rather than in his way

Lan Zhan is autistic-coded, which means he’s easily (and wildly) overstimulated and often utterly tongue-tied. He’s got a twitch in his hands that he can’t control when he’s too stressed (which leads to some bullying). Wei Ying is a beam of sunshine, of course, and he and Lan Zhan are inseparable from the get-go (although his carefree ways cause baby lz soooo much stress).

The Untamed, episode 42 - watching notes

I was up playing partygames over discord until 3 am yesterday, so I didn't get to watch another episode. I complained about it to my friends, which in turn made them complain that I sounded like I would rather watch my "gay chinese fantasy show" than spent time with them. I contemplated saying yes, but decided to keep my friend instead :D

And we were currently in the middle of a confrontation with Jiggy (as I've been informed he's called ... what? ^^) who apparently murdered his son to keep some secret, which with how this shows is going, I wouldn't be surprised is them going full game of thrones and ... you know what I'm talking about

He's the Jin Zixun to my wei Wuxian. As in, I can never remember his name or why I should care 🤷‍♀️

And the single logged bridge again 😭😭😭 I adore that metaphor! And I love that they chose to show us the flashback. Because last time, wwx and lwj parted, took different roads so to speak, one the one of defiance, the other the one of orthodoxy. Neither wanted to part ways, but neither probably thought that they had much of a choice. But they did have a choice and they made it. And lwj has already expressed his regret over that. So here he is again, using his second chance without a thought.

Because lwj believes that wwx is right, MORALLY, so he will go against his clan, reputation be damned, and stand with the man he loves ... finally. He'll choose what they both believe to be right and walk with him "until it's dark" :')

And THAT'S WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS SO MUCH!! It's not just that "oh they're so cute and they compliment each other so well, they must be soulmates uwu". Most of all they share a common morality!!!

I'm so goddamn amazed at this ship! This is not I was thought I was getting when I boarded it, but goddamn it I'm loving the ride! 😭😭😭

Aaaand another rather abrupt end in the middle of a conversation. That's one thing this show does not do well 😅

– what happened in this comic? –

When Wei Wuxian was brought back by Mo XuanYu, he never planned on staying. He lived his life and died, his story was done. But he did want to fix all of the issues that he had left behind. He went through the novel and played his part. At the end, he was able to resolve all things that were left unresolved in his death. He finally made up with Jiang Cheng. He finally met his nephew, Jin Ling. He finally understood his soulmate, Lan Wangji.

But there was one last thing that wasn’t resolved.

WWX was incredible thankful to MXY for giving him a second chance to tie up loose ends. MXY, someone who was misunderstood and abused, died partially due to his inventions. And so, WWX decides to give MXY his life back, to give MXY a second chance just as MXY had given him.

(is lwj and co. torn up about this? yes. was that selfish of wwx? maybe. but wwx never did ask others for permission to do what he wanted.)

At sixteen, Izuku got married on a warm spring day to a crowd of seven hundreds and only a handful of familiar faces. His new husband was a boy he’d met and played with in the summer of his eighth year, but who now looked upon him with eyes of contempt.

He’d never felt smaller.

Their marriage was arranged by their mothers before even their birth. Lady Mitsuki was the Duchess of Musutafu and his mother the daughter of a shipping merchant, but despite their differing social station they were best friends, sworn sisters.

Now, Izuku and Katsuki reaped the consequence of that promise.

Since young, Izuku was taught under the strict tutelage of his mother and tutors to perform his spousal duties to the best of his ability so that when they meet one day he wouldn’t fail the Bakugou’s name, wouldn’t fail Katsuki. And he certainly didn’t want to fail his future husband.

He was already hopelessly charmed. Smitten. Halfway in love at six years old and gone for Bakugou Katsuki ever since.

But they’d only met once when Katsuki’s parents had sent him to live in the Midoriya’s estate for the summer in Fukuoka. That summer had stretched out before them in a field of marigolds and by the water of riverbed. They’d played and laughed with the folly of youth and ignorance of what the future entailed for them. Izuku only knew of the boy before him; a bright, confident, and willful child who made the world bent to his will and not the other way around.

Strong in mind and body, Katsuki was everything to Izuku.

But even before that, Izuku had learned of Katsuki through long-winded letters from Lord Masaru through a series of correspondence that had lasted all the way up to the first time he’d stepped foot in Tokyo with his parents and soon after he’d became the sixth generation Marchioness of the Bakugou Household.

The boy he had grew to love had now suddenly became a man with a fierce glint in his red eyes and sharp features that cut away at Izuku’s malleable heart. Everything he’d known of Katsuki had disappeared under scornful glares and his utter repulsion in their arranged marriage.

He was impossibly cold and hostile to Izuku, but he had held on anyway because even if Katsuki didn’t want him, he was sure with enough time and effort Katsuki would grow to accept him, accept their new relationship status.

Except three days later after the wedding, Izuku was sent home packing and wouldn’t see Katsuki again for another five years. It was humiliating. Izuku couldn’t even leave his estate for months because he was afraid of the rumors that

Izuku wouldn’t be call back to Tokyo until Lady Mitsuki had fallen ill and was trapped to her bedside for weeks. And it was there that she had begged her only son and precious heir to give her the grandchild she so desperately wants before she lost her last will to live.

Bakugou Katsuki, who could do so many impossible things and do it extremely well, found himself in a conundrum because even he could not give her a child himself, not when his husband, the one he hadn’t seen in five years, was all the way back in Fukuoka.

Abandoned. Neglected. And waiting.

Izuku came back to Tokyo again upon his husband’s request—order—but this time he’s not that awkward and shy young man anymore, who fell for an idolized dream. Armed with a lethal smile, a guarded heart, and a sworn promise to bring Bakugou Katsuki down to his very knees, Izuku won’t forgive or forget. Katsuki may be his husband and Izuku will remain ever faithful and loyal to him, but only after he’d prove he deserves Izuku first.
