I don't like Dobson as much as any other person, but I feel compelled to ask what drives you to run an account dedicated to shitting on the guy for this many years? It just seems a bit unhealthy to me
Because when people make a weird or crazy-sounding claim about someone with a bad reputation online, it’s really helpful and good to have a source that you can point to and show proof. And a lot of people don’t want to go onto Kiwi Farms to get said information.
You should always want proof to any claims made about anyone/anything.
As for it being “unhealthy”, you severely overestimate the amount of time I spend on this blog or even thinking about Dobson in general.

Is there any credibility to the rumors that Dobson disappeared off the internet because he cost his brother (one of them?) an important job?
I hadn't thought about this dude in years and was surprised to find all his accounts had been abandoned, and the above rumor is the only explanation I could find after a quick search
The main evidence to that particular theory is Dobson’s brother suddenly quit his job out of nowhere for no real stated reason at almost the exact same time Dobson quit the internet. At the time, people assumed the two incidents were linked somehow, and because Dobson is Dobson, the assumption was it was his fault somehow.
There’s never been anything concrete past that, since Dobson is gone and he only ever mentioned his brother like once way back in the day.

Do you think Dobson will ever come back? And if so, hypothetically speaking, do you think he'd have changed? (Personally, I got my doubts, given people like Movie Bob exist)
Honestly, I think no to both.
Dobson has been off the grid since 2020, which considering his history, is sort of a record and something not even freaking Chris Chan, who was in prison (but still had contact to trolls outside), achieved.
There is a reason I believe he either was forced into cold turkey the very hard or that somewher inbetween May 2020 and now he has died.
And if he managed to stay away this long, even as otherwise things happened in nerd and social culture that should have caused him to open his mouth, I doubt he will come back even if Trump becomes president again. Or at least he will not come back under his old alias.
As for him having changed: Guy hadn't changed for the better n between 2005 till 2020. What should make him have changed now, especially when nerd culture as a whole is at the verge of rejecting most of the things he once loved or fought for?

Small update and "happy birthday" to two lesbians
Okay first, my deepest apology for not wrapping up Nintendo-vember yet. My work has bombarded me out of nowhere with extra chores over the last weeks, certain stuff got in the way etc. I am sorry, but I promise that before this year ends, I will upload the last piece of Nintendo-vember.
In addition... well, today is December 19th and you know what that means?

Okay seriously though, I have nothing against LGBT representation in cartoons and so on. But we all know that Dobson has taken it way too far with how he shipped Korra and Asami over the years and how he tried harder than anyone else to convince himself, how important that shit really was.
As I will likely illustrate a bit earlier this month, before we even go and wrap up Nintendo-vember...

Political parties really are just religious cults in everything but name.
There’s a reason I say I’m “centrist at best, apolitical at worst,”
Politics in general have become overly extremist with an intense “us vs them” mentality, and it’s ridiculous that you have to make someone out to be a cartoon supervillain just because they have a different political opinion.
But that’s political discourse these days. Hence my stance.

While everyone has named comics that are definitely among the worst of Dobson, here are some I'd like to add-
His list comic where he basically says football fans are all homophobes while also secretly being gay.
ANYTHING with Talus. Because Talus literally makes an already bad comic even worse. Every time.
The very last comic he made before he rage quit (not counting Cabin's Rest) I think, where he directly compared the COVID-19 pandemic to the 9/11 attacks. He got A LOT of blowback for that and he threw a fit over it and denied that's what he was saying. Even though he clearly was, and I recall him even calling people "stupid" for thinking that was his point. Then failing to explain what his "real" point was. What a way to end his cartooning career. but it was also a very fitting end for him.

Honestly, those three comics you picked give a good overall example of why Dobson has the reputation he has, along with giving you an idea of the type of person he is.

I'm still baffled at Dobson buying ISBNs for his books, and then going to comic book stores asking them to sell his books for him. Who told him to do this? Momson? wasn't she connected, or knew of a publisher friend? Idk maybe she got sick of putting her neck on the line with the other times he shot her friends down for work. Was he hoping to have some break-out success, like an "It all started when a young man went from store to store with a book and a dream!" I'm inclined to think so.
Dobson is not a salesman, clearly. His appearance plays a part. That's sad to say but it is true that our appearance plays a lot in how we are perceived. I can picture him waddling into a comic shop, his "Winning personality"/S on full display with that crusty fucking fedora with some shlubby clothes to go with it.
I'm inclined to believe his level of laziness he never sat down to make character sheets or write down the lore of his characters. No script for each issue of his comic. So when asked by, let's say, comic book shop employees what the hell his shit was about, he'd stutter and stammer through the whole ordeal.
Him buying ISBNs was probably because him doing so made him feel like he was a “real” writer/artist, I would assume.
And given both his introvertedness and his tendency to be snide or condescending to people he considers below him for having “incorrect opinions”, I’d imagine he sucked as a salesman.
Like imagine what would have happened if a comic shop owner said something like “tell me why I would put your comic on the shelf in place of, say, this comic with the sexy woman on it”. Knowing how Dobson is? It would lead to him getting kicked out of the store or something.

Honestly, sometimes I think that Nintendo's love of money gets in the way of their making even more money. People pirate and emulate their games all the time; all Nintendo would have to do is release an official system emulator, and sell the games for, like, a dollar apiece, and they'd be rolling in cash. But for some reason, they don't want to take advantage of what is clearly and obviously an existing and hungry market.
IIRC both culturally and legally, Japan is one of the strongest defenders of original IPs, and I think all big companies worldwide fundamentally misunderstand piracy, emulation and their purpose or what they enable people to do. The simulpub releases for English manga online is a direct example of companies finally understanding there IS a market for it if they put in the effort, however an effort has to be made and I think rn in particular, a lot of them are still digging their heels in the sand that proliferation of art is a bad thing if they're unable to profit off of it 100% so why bother.
That's my thoughts on it anyway, I don't deepdive stuff like this anymore so take it with a grain of salt 🤷♀️
