Newspaper clippings related to the missing episodes of David as Rusty Sentell on Search for Tomorrow (82-83).
He first shows up as Alex circa May-June '82. The doppelganger battle between Alex and Rusty occurs somewhere around July-ish, and Rusty recovers and eventually disappears from the hospital around August. He reappears for his mainstay role Sept. 20 '82.

Reblogging this because David Gale also had this film on his early resumes and I don't want to lose track of this information!

Encounter (1965) dir. Norman C Chaitin.
I’ve been searching for a copy of this short film for a while now and recently discovered why my search was unsuccessful. This is an excerpt from a book called De Niro: A Life, written by Shawn Levy.
The film was based on a play by Chaitin called “Times Square Encounter” and was about a mother meeting accidentally with her son that she had given up for adoption years earlier.

According to Charles P. Mitchell in his book The Complete H.P. Lovecraft Filmography, David Gale was considered for the soap opera Dark Shadows. I would have liked to see that! I wish I knew where this info came from.

If I had to guess, I’d assume he was considered for the role of Adam (left). Adam was on the show from May to November of 1968. The show ended in April of 1971.
