Going absolutely insane bc Obi Wan literally gave up the rest of his life for Anakin. He spent over a decade wasting away in a desert to protect Anakin’s children from Anakin. He saved Anakin’s daughter and watched over Anakin’s son, all while having raised Anakin himself when he wasn’t ready. He stayed with Anakin’s wife when she was alone in one of the darkest moments of her life and stayed with her as she died. Everything he did can he tied back to Anakin. He gave everything for Anakin and loved him so much, even when anyone else would’ve given up, and in the end, Anakin was the one who killed him.

do you ever think about how ahsoka WAS going to go back home. how she loved being a jedi and the jedi temple was still her home despite everything and she wanted to go home and the only reason she hadn’t in the end was because she needed to be a solider and because she thought she had time that she could finally just go home after the war. but she couldn’t. and she will never go home ever again.

i don't think you guys get it, the thing about anakin and ahsoka. imagine you're ahsoka and you're thirteen and you're in a warzone and you've been not-so-randomly assigned a new jedi master. he gives you a stupid nickname and jokes around with you and loves you; he's the only person who believes in your innocence when it's questioned, he's that one person that believes in you more than anything. he finds it agonizing to let people go but he lets you go because he trusts you more than anyone. you were special to him and you knew it and there's a pride in that, because not many people were. imagine you're thirteen and it's war and there's explosions and fire and blood and death, and then someone takes your shoulder in his hand and is like, hey, relax. let's play a game. whoever slaughters the most droids wins. and it's easier to breathe because it's less pressure if you squeeze your eyes shut and think you're playing a game with your jedi master, and it will all be okay. you have such vibrant memories of being loved by this man and then, away from you, without you knowing, he turns around and murders a few thousand people all at once in one hideous bloodsoaked night. the hands that cradled your face and tilted it upwards to kiss your forehead are soaked in unfathomable quantities of blood. the person who made you feel that safe is the same guy who is so violent, so removed from any human compassion, that people whisper that he's a droid instead. the only person who believed in your innocence is a living nightmare. like actually what the fuck

No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadow what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence with which they should be.
