This was why she hadn't wanted to call him. Knowing that she would, deservedly so, get a tongue lashing from Deacon. But what hurt the most was seeing and hearing how hurt he himself was at all the bullshit she had put him through. And what he had assumed she was going to do all over again. Which he wasn't wrong to think that she would continue to string him along, use him, and abuse his kindness. She hadn't done anything in the past to make him think otherwise.
Jaw clenched more and rolled as teeth ground together as she looked at him, watching his eyes widen. Nat knew he wanted to say more but he was too nice of a guy ( or maybe just too tired to even try anymore, she wouldn't blame him ) to say everything on his mind. But she would have stood there and listened to it all, taken every word as truth and agreed with him. Because she knew how much of a shit person she was and how he was too good for her.
Tumblr media
At his question, tongue jutted out to wet bottom lip as head nodded slowly. "Yea..." she murmured, clearing her throat as palms pressed against the side of thighs to rid them of sweat. "I'm gonna be in town. For a bit an'...and I was gonna come look you up tomorrow but this shit happened and..." she had no one else, but they both knew that. Natalie had denied herself the steps she wanted to take to close the distance for a while now, but finally she did take them. But she left a little room between them as she looked up at Deacon and let out a small breath. "I'm sorry, D. I ha-...had to leave this time 'cause...listen can we get outta here and if you'll let me...I'll explain..."
Tumblr media
Deacon had every right to be going off on her. She continued to toy with him and drag him through the same damn game. It was a pattern she knew all too well, but at least he wasn't filling Travis' role completely; wasn't adding to the toxicity. No, she was doing that all on her own or at least that's what she had been doing, not so much anymore. Had disappeared on him, but it was during that time away that she finally got her shit together or at least somewhat of it.
"Didn't call anyone else, alright? Jesus," she sighed, eyes closing despite keeping her head hung. Tongue pressed into the side of cheek as fingers picked at the material of jeans, trying to keep her anxiety in check. Swallowing, Nat finally raised her head so eyes could look towards the other for the first time in a while. "I got a place so you don't gotta offer," she muttered, trying to make it easier for him. For herself as well even though she wanted nothing more than to step forward and close the space between them.
Tumblr media
She didn't deserve to do that, not yet. Not until she explained herself or tried to at least. Jaw clenched and rolled at his question about the guy she had had a disagreement with. "S'what I told the cops," she mused with a small shrug, sucking in a small breath, head shaking at his follow up question. "No. Was just gonna walk if y-...you didn't feel up for giving me a life."

Though subtly done, it was clearly noticed when subject was changed. They could have returned to the topic at hand about Crystal sneaking off ( that's what it was even though they didn't want to admit it ) but what exactly would that achieve? Especially when they weren't even certain they wanted to know the real truth. It could have been done nothing and them bringing it up, questioning her could just start something that could have been avoided. Or it could have been something and not anything that Van wanted to know about which cause even more problems. So it was best just to let sleeping dogs lie.
"Nah, don't go wastin' your time with that," they mused with a small chuckle. "Tried to learn it in high school and lets just say I'm muy bad." Thankfully they had been able to drop the class and picked up something else ( what that something else was, they couldn't tell you ). Moving around the shop, Van scribbled a few notes as they checked the inventory of the films, seeing what was hitting and what was missing. They were relieved that the classic horror was still hitting as was the comedy section; people still had great taste. "Yea? Sure they're glad to have a couple days off to fuck around an' do whatever." Comment was said off-handedly despite fully listening to the other, but there was a nagging voice in the back of their mind.
Tumblr media
They wanted to know where she had snuck off to, why she had left so abruptly in the middle of the night, and why she didn't just tell them. Mind going back and forth with the possible explanations, they continued to move around the store until coming to a stop near the window. Looking out at the nearly empty sidewalk, they listened to the question regarding lunch or dinner, lips coming to purse into a thin line. This is why we don't date, dumbass, they thought as they let out a slow breath before looking over shoulder in the direction of Crystal. "I got an order coming in any time but dinner...dinner sounds good," they answered with a small smile.
Tumblr media
Knowing when someone was keeping something hidden, it was a weird superpower they had developed early on in life. Maybe it was because of their mother and how she would hide her drinking from her child. Maybe it was because of how they hid who they were and who they liked at a young age. Or maybe it was because of spending the better part of half of their life keeping a pact with the others to keep what happened in the span of nineteen months secret. Who knew, but certainly not them. It could have been everything combined into one big ball of hey, I know when you're being weird.
Though the irony was not lost on Van. No, she knew that questioning her partner wasn't fair considering what she was keeping secret. Rationally, they knew that sometimes people had secrets for whatever reason and if Crystal had her own, then so be it. But that didn't mean that gnawing feeling that told the redhead something was going just went away. Even now, as they stood there listening to her, that gnawing continued in the pit of their stomach, but they tried to ignore it. Worrying themself with listening while finishing up the paperwork in their hands.
Tumblr media
"Well, good thing I don't know Spanish," they mused with a small chuckle, eyes returning to the clipboard. Scribbling their signature at the bottom, Van turned and began to walk towards the back to where the computer was. "Ah, well that's good to know. Would hate to be left behind," was said over shoulder and might have came off with disbelief or even uncaring. But they did care, was nice to know that even so early into things, the other wouldn't just up and leave them.

Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to divulge information that wasn't exactly his to share. Then again, he knew his wife and he knew that there was a chance that Shauna was never going to tell their daughter about their son. He didn't blame her because he could only imagine ( plus his knowledge of the journals ) of how hard it would be to think of that, of him. But Callie had a right to know and though it was small in the grand scheme of everything else in her mothers past, it was at least something. A glimpse and small shred of insight as to why Shauna was the way she was.
Though he wasn't sure of his decision, it did make him feel a little bit of relief. Being able to at least tell Callie about her brother, about a woman she never got to meet yet had to live with because neither one of her parents could let go of Jackie. There was so much more to be told and some of it not to be told because not even he liked knowing the truth, but he understood. That sometimes, when in certain situations, things had to be done in order for survival. Plus, he didn't want to overwhelm Callie with everything given how they were having to deal with the current crisis of Adam Martin.
They had probably been in the car for two hours by now with another possible two to go when she spoke up. Jeff turned his head slightly to look in her direction with eyebrow raised before he looked to the radio and registered what song it was. He let out a small amused laugh, "Papa Roach is the band. Big fan of theirs when I was your age," he mused, rolling shoulders in an attempt to relax. He'd zoned out, admittedly, for the better part of twenty minutes as his own mind raced with thoughts of what was happening at Lottie Matthew's wellness center.
Tumblr media
It seemed his daughter too was worrying and he didn't blame her, but he had to try to relieve some of that. "Hey, hey, hey...calm down okay? No one is going to jail. Certainly not your mother, alright. And hey, it's not only your life that is at stake here, kid...remember that," he sighed, hand coming to rub at his eyes before returning to the wheel. "And I don't know okay? Your mom and I aren't perfect, no parent is, and we...we fucked up. We know that, but we're gonna fix this, Cals...somehow."
Tumblr media
@darkconsumed {jeff} and callie are in the car headed to lottie's compound...
Callie's head was swimming as they drove upstate. Her dad had given her the short version of the story, about her mom and everything that had happened. Jackie, her brother... Of course Shauna was never going to open up to her about it. And a heavy gray cloud of swirling emotion had hung over her heart since hearing about it.
But all of that was mixed up in fear and in frustration -- she'd spent years of her life feeling resented, kept at a distance from her mom. And for a while, she told herself that was fine. She'd just put up her own walls to protect herself from the woman who didn't seem to or want to care. Callie had always felt closer with her dad, but even he had been hiding a lot from her. And now there was this whole mess with Adam Martin, and finding out her mom was a murderer. It was just so hard to put her thoughts in order, especially with --
"Oh my god, dad, what even is this music?" It was something old and so not her style. But on a road trip like this, they needed to keep the peace. Maybe take turns at the radio dial. Callie sighed, leaning her arm and head on the passenger window and watching the road around them pass by.
"Mom can't get arrested -- I don't want to get arrested either! God, do you know how fast that would ruin the rest of my life? Why did you guys let it get this far without being honest?"

Life before the crash had been filled with uncertainties. Their relationship with Taissa was one of those things they hadn't been entirely certain of. They had hoped, that despite whatever society would have thought of them being together, they would have been that. Together. And everything else wouldn't matter. That had been the upside to being stranded, away from the public eye of those that did or didn't know them. They could just exist.
And it was wishful thinking that it would have carried over when they came home. That that carefree who gives a damn what others think mentality would have been enough. But even the redhead had shied away from the eyes of those that they passed in the streets. Except they never could tell if people were staring because of the scars ( most likely that and only that ) or because of whose hand they were holding. The public eye would always be cast down on them if only just because of surviving the crash but it would cause them both to wonder what else people were staring at.
Needless to say, the more Van allowed their thoughts to move towards the rational side, the quicker their anger was vanishing. Losing it made the sadness seep in further and they didn't, couldn't, feel just that in that moment. Because all they would want is to take comfort in Taissa and they couldn't. Her questioning helped keep them from thinking too much about how right she was, brows pinching as they furrowed. Of course they wanted to move on, to stop being one of the survivors of a horrific event. But they knew it would never go away, not really and that it would always loom over head.
As the others voice rose, they stared her down, lips pursed and jaw clenched. They felt defeated, like there was no point in arguing anymore but they couldn't just give up. Throw in the very towel that they were accusing the other of doing. "Do you know how dumb that sounds? Like we're just gonna be able to move on from what happened out there 'cause what, we're not together? It's always going to be there, Tai! So why add to the fuckin' pain and suffering that we've already survived?" They fired back, hands raising and falling back at their sides with a thwap. Just because her sleepwalking had stopped, they were home, and now breaking up, Van knew that what happened would always be there. That'd always be apart of them.
The mentioning of Jeff and Shauna had them shaking their head because no, they didn't want to be them. Made up of lies and secrets and choosing the safe way out. Maybe them wanting to stay with Tai could be viewed as choosing the easy and safe way, but there was actual love there ( they couldn't tell whether or not Shauna actually did love Jeff and they didn't much care. ) "We're not them. We never have been them and we...damn it, Tai, we wouldn't be them!" They were sure of that, knew that they would be different. Or at least they could have been different than the others, now there wasn't much of a chance to find that out.
That defeated feeling was making itself more known as hands rose and dragged down over face. Tear stained eyes ached and their nose was stuffy and they were just exhausted. "We didn't die...you're right. Maybe one of us should've so this would be easier..." It was morbid, they knew that, but it would have been easier to mourn the other than to go through this. Hell, Van had nearly died a couple times and if they had just done that, Tai wouldn't be ripping their heart out of their chest. "I-...I don't know what to say anymore, Taissa..."
Tumblr media
When the dust would clear and settle around them, deep down they knew that they would agree with Taissa. Knew that in this moment she was being the reasonable one, the one trying to drag them into reality. One that meant they were apart, that the last two years would be past tense moving forward with their life. The dust hadn't settled nor cleared so despite already knowing she was right, they dug their heels in further. Just wished it had been solid ground and not the quicksand from movies beginning to swallow their feet and working its way up inch by inch.
Quickly swiping at their face to rid of it the tears that continued to fall, they sniffled and stared at the other. Chin quivered more as she watched Tai move closer, every inch of her being wanted to drop to their knees and take comfort in her. They couldn't though, they couldn't find comfort in the one person who had been a constant fixture in their life anymore. Because it wouldn't help the pain nor the sadness and it certainly would ease the anger that was slowly evaporating. "I did and do know this but I...I thought I would be enough for you."
Never would they ask Taissa to pick them over the future she had planned out and had planned out prior to the crash. But they had at least thought they would be enough to be included in that plan. That Tai would find a balance and they could make it work. Maybe it was foolish wishing and hoping that had convinced them of that or maybe, simply, it was young love and not knowing what they were going to do with their own future. It was something they hadn't planned for because they weren't certain of anything except for Taissa. And that was on them.
Being home, however, the harsh light of day that was normalcy, they both were made to relive what happened out there. It was the first thing they saw when they woke up and the last thing they saw when they went to bed. The scars that took up most of the redheads face was a harsh reminder of what happened out there more so than the memories. And deep down they had feared that it would become a problem, that she wouldn't be able to look at Van anymore because all she would be reminded of was death. Her hand, for a brief second, makes a move to raise and touch her cheek, but she refrains from doing such. The lines were rough and ugly and god they knew it.
Instead Van focuses on the others words, tears still welling up in their eyes as they continue to stare at her. Knowing that this could be the last time they see Tai, they wanted to make sure they would remember every line and curve of her face, the roundness of cheeks and lips. It would be torture to remember her, but at least they would remember her. Her questions, however, cause eyes to tear away and stare at the floor for a moment in thought. She wanted to answer right away and say yes, that they would survive that much distance between one another, but they weren't sure. Had been dreading to find that out, but they would have willing put themself through that to find out if their relationship with Tai was strong enough.
"Maybe," they finally whisper, once more wiping at their face, fingers briefly brushing over rigid lines before falling to their side. "Won't know 'cause you've already decided that we won't. Shit's not supposed to be easy, Tai, we both know that," they continued, eyes returning to look at her, "you may think you're doing what's best for us, hell maybe you are, but I know I was always willing to fight for us. No matter what...and you...shit you're just throwing in the towel and giving up."

There was something so enchanting watching and listening to the other woman perform. She found it easy to sway to the notes played and the lyrics sung, small smile resting on her face. Coming here tonight, there had been no real plan or course of thinking; she just wanted to watch Natalie play. She had thought, however, about maybe finding a way to let the woman know she was there, to reunite, but again. There were several people and the lights were surely blinding and distorted any of their faces from being picked out specifically.
That was until their eyes did lock. Charlotte's heart fluttered and lips came to part to...what? Yell out to the woman who would surely not hear her? No, she knew Natalie wouldn't be able to hear her so she simply exhaled a soft breath of surprise. But there was relief wrapped up in it, knowing that even after all this time, she'd still recognize the taller woman. She truly was left speechless in that moment, but as the brunette jumped into the crowd, she let out a little surprised yelp, hand coming to cover her mouth. Behind her hand, though, was a wide smile as she watched in awe at the others bravery to trust strangers to keep her upright.
Once she returned to the stage, she relaxed a bit ( which was silly as she was sure Nat had done that plenty of times ) and waited like the others. She wasn't sure what song would be next, but when the other woman spoke, she couldn't have possibly expected a song...about her. Or for her, she wasn't sure what was the right term, but nevertheless, she was surprised. Hand that once covered mouth fell to rest over heart that lie beneath breast, its pace quickening as Natalie began to sing. Every lyric made it more and more obvious that the song was specifically for her and that...well, it pulled at every string possible.
When the song came to an end, as well as their set, Charlotte found herself cheering as the others around her did. Hands clapped and were raised over head as she shouted in glee, eyes watching as her former teammate walked off stage. She realized in that moment that she wasn't ready to not see the other woman, that she finally formed a plan. The crowd began to die down and moved to either leave or go hit the merch table which, wasn't a bad idea and she soon found herself purchasing a shirt. She smiled down at that garment and draped it over her arm before she headed for the stage and located a security guard. It took some convincing and a bit of bribing, but she was soon being directed down a hallway backstage.
It was then that her nerves had returned and she hesitated once outside of the dressing room. Lottie closed her eyes and took a few calming breaths ( practice what you preach after all ) before she eventually did calm. She wasn't calmed completely, probably wouldn't be, but it was enough so that she could raise a hand and give a firm yet soft knock to the door. Hand pulled away from the door before it was fussing with the braid she had been unsure of and hoped she looked alright. Relax, woman, she softly thought to herself before the door was opening causing her eyes to widen slightly as a smile pulled into place.
Tumblr media
"H-...hello, Natalie..."

Time passed and people changed. Memories of someone, a friend from long ago, never did change. They remained the same and kept the memory of someone who was dearly missed alive. Though after everything that they went through with their fellow teammates, it was no surprise that distance had been formed. That they had all branched off and gone down their own paths, forged their own lives and identities that were not solely tethered to the trauma of surviving the wilderness.
Charlotte hadn't, at first, been able to do her own forging. A brief stint in the hospital after coming home had taken place, but that had been well over a decade ago. In that time, she'd managed to create something new and beautiful, something that didn't judge one for their past, and gave new opportunities to liked minded people. Her time in the hospital had been abhorrent and did more damage than good ( at least mentally and emotionally speaking ) and she wanted to change that. Because she knew she wasn't the only one to be forced into an environment like that.
The wellness center had been up and running for a while now and things were going good. But there was something missing, someone to be more exact. Natalie Scatorccio had been on her mind for quite sometime, but she had never acted upon the desire to seek the other woman out. Not until she heard the familiar voice flutter from the speakers of the radio one afternoon. To discover that the brunette had pursued music wasn't surprising and it brought a smile to Lottie's face to think of her friend being up on stage doing something so enriching. So from that moment she kept her eyes on the look out for a show being played near by so she could pop in and say hello to an old friend.
Lottie had lucked out after a couple months since hearing the woman's band on the radio. It seemed her tour had led her to the New York area and that worked in the raven haired woman's favor. She left the center in good hands and made her way into the city and bought a ticket at the door, thankful they still had some. And to say it wasn't her scene would be an understatement but she managed to squeeze herself into the crowd, stomach in nervous and excited knots. To which only grew as the night went on, the opening act leaving the stage and then there was Nat. Lips parted when she landed eyes on the other woman, small smile pulling into place as she seemingly ignored everything else going on around her.
Tumblr media
Though it was hard not to hear the crowd around her cheering, thrashing against one another in excitement. They adored the woman and the music being played and Lottie couldn't help but think good, it's what she deserves. She even found herself swaying a bit to the songs ( partly due to the various bodies around her bumping into her ) and found that she enjoyed several of the songs. All the while, her eyes never left Natalie and she wondered if she'd spot her though she doubted it. There was a sea of adoring fans and the bright lights illuminating the stage would make it hard to pin point anyone. Let alone someone she hadn't seen in nearly twenty-five years.

Things hadn't always been like this and they certainly hadn't been planned. After the crash, when they'd came home, they were still with Taissa until that went up in a fire-y blaze of pain ( the irony is not lost on them. ) By the time they had split from the other, Nat and Lottie had created and built the club and it was like a beacon guiding the redhead. It gave them a new sense of purpose, a path that wouldn't leave them walking it alone. Everything that followed after that, them becoming part of what the pair had already, well that just happened. No one planned for it, maybe they saw it coming, but it was natural.
It's what they appreciated the most about this whole arrangement. That despite Nat and Charlotte being legally married, they still recognized the redhead as more than a side piece. They all worked as a cohesive unit to ensure that all parties involved needs were met and no one ever felt left out. And maybe to those looking in through the window wouldn't get it, but they didn't need to get it. It made sense to the three of them and those that really knew them.
And given the last year, though hard without Nat, it had brought Lottie and them closer together. It strengthened whatever bond had been created out in those woods all those years ago. Which they were sure could be said for them and the brunette once she was home, where she belonged. It would make the nights easier and keep all the sad tears from being shed; both hers and Lottie's. Because though the other had done most of the crying, especially when Nat's natural scent had all but disappeared, they had shed plenty of their own tears. But again, they had to keep the strength, had to do their job of being the right hand.
It wouldn't have surprised them if Lottie admitted to forgetting about the party. Hell, they wouldn't blame her for it because in truth, even they just wanted to go get Nat and come home. But it would only be for a few hours and it'd be good for moral for the other women to see their leader back in charge. And as their foreheads came to meet, Van's other hand came to grab hold of the others hip before arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer.
Tumblr media
"I know..." they whispered, not really needing to hear it but it always felt good. Validating to be reassured once in a while. "I love you guys too and I...god I can't wait to see her, but I'm also okay waiting for my turn." She chuckled softly as hands began to rub along the taller woman's back slowly. "Gonna be nice havin' her home. Make this place feel less empty."
Tumblr media
They all missed their fearless leader, but out of them all Lottie suffered the most. It made it hard for the redhead to go about their daily life, but they had to keep it together for the sake of the club and for the raven haired woman. She needed support and strength to make it through the last year so that's what they did. They pushed aside their own struggles ( helping keep the club running, work itself, Lottie...it'd been a lot ) to ensure she kept her wits about her about herself. But being there with her, knowing they were helping, it eased their mind though they were happy they wouldn't be doing it alone for much longer.
To have the unit whole again, it would make things feel more centered, grounded. Nat was more than just their best friend and they loved her just as much as they loved her wife. Besides the club feeling empty, the house had felt empty and odd without the other. Made Van feel out of sorts of being there alone with Lottie despite knowing that it was okay, that they were welcomed and the pairs partner. "Well we can't have that 'cause I don't wanna be here by myself runnin' things...place would go up in flames," they mused with a small chuckle and shake of their head. No, they couldn't manage the club on their own and they certainly couldn't be without both women.
Hands pushed into back pockets of jeans as they watched the other finish putting things away. Nat would have her pick of nearly every single thing she liked which was how it should be. Smile settled into place as they watched her move closer before hand found their cheek with a chaste kiss to follow. They returned it as they leaned into the touch upon cheek before the kiss ended, their own hand moving to come brush a few strands of dark hair from Lottie's face. "God I won't blame her for either. I'd be missin' you both like hell if it had been me and food. Good food!" they chuckled, fingers lingering as they caressed against her cheek.
Tumblr media
"Got that party for her, remember? Gang'll wanna see her and welcome her back properly," she mused quietly, hand falling to rest on the others hip. "And...I think you two need some alone time. You need it especially, babe. Be plenty of time for me to squirm my way in the middle like old times."

"Got that party for her, remember? Gang'll wanna see her and welcome her back properly," she mused quietly, hand falling to rest on the others hip. "And...I think you two need some alone time. You need it especially, babe. Be plenty of time for me to squirm my way in the middle like old times."

@healiotrope gets a semi-plotted thing!

"Tomorrow's the big day," they mused with a smile as they finished putting away the groceries they'd just picked up. Nat was getting released tomorrow and finally, after a long year or so, the club would be made whole again. In retrospect, it could have been longer if not for the legal team that they had on their side and being able to swing the jury in favor of the other. And though Lottie and them had been able to hold down the fort, it would be nice to have the brunette back with them. If only to help Lottie and make her feel more at ease.
They had done their best with helping the other get through the long days and nights, but they weren't Nat. There was only so much Van could do to help with the woman's grief of missing her wife, filling a small portion of that gap. They too missed the other and would feel better having her back home instead of worrying about her being locked up and having to put up with that bullshit. Then again, they'd all been through much worse and a bunch of rowdy women and all too rough guards wouldn't compare to the harsh elements they'd had to survive as teens.

"What do you think she's gonna want to do first? Down a burger, inhale a pizza, or ravage you there in the parkin' lot?" Van mused with a grin as they moved around the counter to grab the bags. They started to fold them up before placing them under the sink to be used later on for something else. "My money is on you then a pizza."

@feminaferitas (for callie) gets a semi-plotted thing!
Tumblr media
To say the last couple months had been a lot would be an understatement. Deep down, she always knew her past would forever keep her life on a constant rollercoaster of unexpected dips and turns, but she also had no one to blame but herself. What had happened with Adam Martin would forever be solely her fault and dragging everyone into that mess as well was her fault. All she could do now that it was somewhat taken care of ( she still wasn't certain of Jeff's reassurances that it was over ) was to pick up the pieces and mend the jagged puzzle that was her life.
Shauna had a lot to fix and figure out when it came to her marriage and relationship with her daughter. To remember that she had a living child who mattered and was innocent in all of this. And that she hadn't been exactly fair when it came to Callie and her overall existence. But how could she sit down and tell her daughter about someone she was still mourning, but hadn't really allowed herself to mourn? Even the thought of him made her stomach churn and her vision to grow blurry. Maybe one day she would talk about that with Callie, but for now she would just take baby steps with her.
Tonight was just that, taking baby steps with trusting her daughter. Ignoring the fact that she had been gone all day and hadn't left a text or voicemail telling Shauna where she was or how long she'd be gone. She was probably running around with Alana and had lost track of time and maybe her phone had died. It was fine, it would be fine...at least that's what she told herself three hours ago before the sun had set. Now it was nearly 10pm and she was getting a little worried and continued to check her phone, finger hovering over the track-a-phone app. It was something she rarely used ( a lie, a very big lie ) and was trying to not distrust Callie, but it was getting late and later and...
The front door was opening and it wasn't Jeff as he was already in bed sound asleep. She'll be home soon, babe, don't worry he had told her before going to bed for the night. Big help he was considering everything that had happened and they'd gone through since that night at Lottie's. But when the door opened, Shauna was sitting on the couch in the family room to the left of the entrance way, waiting. Her head turned when she heard the girls footsteps near the doorway of the room and a small smile came into place.

"Oh good, you're home...finally," she said with a small released breath of relief. She wanted to immediately begin her course of interrogation, but also wanted to see what Callie would say in defense. "Dinner's in the fridge. We had pizza, your dad insisted seeing as you weren't home and we weren't sure when you would be."
