My first post in a couple of years probably shouldn’t be filled with me ranting about work. This website is making me feel pretty nostalgic right now, so I’ll rant another day. After all, that’s the whole reason I’m starting up on Tumblr again.
Well, one of the reasons. I recently got my first job as a writer. (Independent contract work for $50 a post, once a week. But it’s a start!). My boss (aka my oldest brother’s best man? I honestly didn’t know about that connection when I accepted the job) told me today about a new project he has in mind. The tiny start-up marketing will be publishing its own website building software soon, and he wants me to write an ebook on it! I assume it’s an instruction manual or something? I’ll find out the details later. Sucks that I won’t be getting paid a steady $50 a week as with the blog posts anymore, but this could be a cool long term thing!...I think? He’s my brother’s best man. Nepotism dictates I just have to go with it.
I have my day job too, so I’m not dying for that extra cash anyway. I do, however, really appreciate the exposure and experience. Working on the company’s blog once a week isn’t enough practice, though. Hence, Tumblr.
There are 12 journals crammed in my crowded bookcases from younger me’s rantings (it’s a lot of fanfic, to be completely honest). But all of that writing was such good practice! It’s why writers read, right? Reading and writing are the best practice for reading and writing. Plus, no pressure as I rant about my days!
I have no idea how often I’ll be updating this page. Maybe once a week on my days off? Heck, I’m not setting a schedule! No pressure!

I’ll be alright?
