Trying to keep people consistent at different ages is always a bit of a challenge, but I think I worked it out this time. Faces change over time but the key features are usually similar enough if a little more exaggerated at different ages.

I looked at a few different armor sets for Kassandra, but I was primarily focused on blending Deimos’ armor and the mercenary set. Deimos doesn’t really exist in this au, but I thought it was a fun call back.

I love the idea of her hair getting more wild as she gets older. Alexios is the one doing her hair when she’s little, so it’s done more meticulously. When she starts doing it herself, she doesn’t really care about it enough to fuss with it. (He’s focused on them not standing out and avoiding people asking too many questions—in this timeline he knows that the cult is looking for them. She thinks the whole thing is a bit dramatic and that the cult is more inline with the boogie man than an actual group out to get them.)

When I was a kid I had a poster of Mei fishing on a tree branch, sitting next to Totoro. When I sat down to draw yesterday that old poster beamed into my brain and all I wanted to draw was my version. Except I thought this time Totoro should be fishing.

Entirely because I LOVED the Atlantis aesthetic so much, and I love Kassandra ❤ It's been a while since I played the game, but I think that thematically she should have been holding the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus but…uhh, I didn't want to paint it, so I didn't! Have the Spear of Leonidas instead :) Like Bayek, this one was based on an old sketch - finishing it traditionally was a little challenge I gave myself. ('little' she says, you know, like a fool)
