There's just something about A League of Their Own that is different, that makes it special.
This is the kind of queer, women-centered media we should be getting, that we deserve to be getting.
The way they so perfect intertwined Max and Carson's storylines so that they both held equal weight and were both just as important as the other...
The way they managed to not only represent so many different unique individuals and identities, but did so in a way where each and everyone of them had their moment to shine...
The way they were able to capture the struggles of queer women, and black women, and just people who did not fit the "norm" in a way that made sure every issue got the attention it deserved...
Just, from start to finish, this show was beautiful and was filled with everything from moments that made you smile so hard your face hurt to moments that made you hurt so much it was hard to breathe to all of the moments in between, it was a masterpiece.
I don't often let myself get my hopes up for queer media to be renewed because more times than not, I'm disappointed, but this one is going to hurt if this is all we get.
