See I'm just asking. I saw something about that somewhere, but then there wasn't anything else in the news. I want you to send me the links so I can read it.
Been seeing Cara Dune asks in your feed, and it made me curious. I'm sorry if I don't know, or I missed it, but is there something going in with the actress BTS, making people dislike her??

Is it fair to say that the Fandom has a history with hating/having a hard time accepting human female characters in Star Wars (with the noted acception of Leia?) We saw a huge backlash with Rose Tico and people Mary Sued Rey or whatever. Or was that just the sequel trilogy being its arguably poorly planned self?
I'm not saying this as a definite, but I honestly want to discuss it now that Cara Dune, an Alderranian like Leia, is under fire. Her character is strong (maybe strong in a way that is overused and obvious for "strong" female characters) but there is literally nothing wrong with her. Rose Tico had her issues, but Gina Carano's character hasn't given us anything not to like, so I'd like to open the floor for her prosecution and defense.
Behave like Kenobis, not Skywalkers.

Djarin logic: If ya old enough to terrorize a mudhorn, take part in a shoot out, and eat a sentient creatures eggs, ya old enough to go to death matches and fix ships.
Also the kids like, 50 something. Din’s probs confused about the math.
Din Djarin really told a BABY to “make [himself] useful” when he was FIXING A SHIP

Mandalorian’s Cape
Something I was kinda stupid to not realize earlier, but Din’s cape actually serves a legit purpose. Early on I just thought it was a design choice, bc it wasn’t to keep him warm, just seemed to be a part of the Mando™️ aesthetic. But now like...
Tumblr media
That beskar absolutely glows on the thermal (just look at that helmet and pauldron) and it really stands out without thermal imaging. We know he has a beskar plate on his back, but it obviously it doesn’t cover everything.
So how does the cape help? For starters, it makes it a hell of a lot harder for someone to see where the beskar begins and ends. Of course, if you’re trying to shoot someone in the back, you don’t want to aim for the blaster-proof metal, you want to hit one of the fleshy spots and maybe actually do some damage.
But if you can’t see the beskar (courtesy of a handy-dandy cape) a shooter’s first instinct is to hit the middle of the back, bc that’s where a person’s biggest i.e the easiest target.
So you know, it’s actually pretty smart. Your back is the hardest place to defend. Unlike the front, where you’re more likely to be aware of or even actively engaging the threat, your back is an absolute weak point if you’re snuck up on or beating a hasty retreat to cover (as the above gif)
So, you know, cool.

Are the blue arrows on Mando's hands just the director cheesing because he used to work on Avatar: The Last Airbender, or am I missing something?
