sometimes I like to think about how no one ever told Heather that Ray ran into a burning building to try to save her and how she never knew he showed up at the hospital, dressed to impress, but changed his mind when he saw Bishop there.
Justice for Ray’s heart, I swear

Dani’s “what did you do” was because she was scared for him, not of what he did. She has made her feelings about Martin and the abuse that he has put Malcolm through clear. The concern in Dani’s eyes when she said “what did you do” was not about Malcolm stabbing Martin, it was about how this action is going to effect Malcolm

If/when we get a season 3. I really hope they don’t go down the route of Dani now looking at Malcolm differently and having to come to terms with him being a “killer”. First of all, self defense is WAY different than being a cold blooded killer. Second, we all know Dani would be concerned for Malcolm’s mental health. She 100% believes Malcolm would be better off with his father dead, but not by his own hand, simply because his current mental state could not handle it. Dani Powell would try her absolute hardest to convince Malcolm that he is not his father and that it was self defense and that he is not nor ever was a murderer.

I can accept a lot of things, but I can't accept Prodigal Son ending with Malcolm looking more miserable than he started.

i said this on twitter but no matter how much malcolm wrestles with this next season he did absolutely nothing wrong by stabbing martin. he defended himself, he chose himself and he decided he loved himself more than he loves his abusive serial killer father. that was a powerful moment and it doesn't mean he is a killer or is like martin whatsoever. he did nothing wrong by choosing to live in that moment.

Martin’s not suddenly getting a free pass from me, but I will say I liked this little protective motion he does when Vivian returns.
He very clearly places himself as a barrier between her and Malcolm. Not sure if that was in the script or a choice on Sheen’s part, but I liked it.

I don’t think Dani or Malcolm realized how much they had wanted to kiss until they actually did it, then afterwards they were both like “holy shit” because neither of them had thought of it as a possibility and there’s so many factors to consider in their relationship (mental health, they’re friends, and they work together), then on top of that there’s no time to think about it or talk it out right now because of all of this kidnapping business
