hi I’m Chris, and I really like sci-fi, as well as other stuff. I’m aromantic and go by he/him. Hopefully you’ll gain amusement or something resembling a pleasant feeling visiting this page.
I think it would mean a lot to Kate Stewart to meet the Doctor who ultimately started her father's UNIT journey. Because of Timey Wimey stuff she can't tell him who she is of course, but she can still show some thanks.
Bonus:
I like to imagine since Donna works for UNIT now, she likes to ask Kate along for lunch occasionally. And I also think 14 wouldn't hear the END of it once she finds out about Jamie.
For one, I like the idea of subnautica HAVING multiplayer (as in it has multiplayer ALONGSIDE singleplayer, hopefully it doesn’t just replace it altogether) I always liked the idea of multiplayer and what that can bring to the game, but where I start to really get nervous is the dreaded “live service” aspect.
I’ve seen when live service games can be quite good as well as player friendly, take the recent lethal company for example, that is a multiplayer game that is currently receiving content updates (technically semi live service) and is becoming near universally beloved and celebrated by the gaming community.
But I’ve also seen what bad live service looks like, and its unfortunately what comprises the overwhelming majority of live service games, I.e. the buggy unfinished mess on release day, free to play, battlepass and microtransaction ridden bullshit.
Now it doesn’t NECESSARILY mean that subnautica will follow that model, but I’m with everyone when I say I’m nervous about what this means. (Honest to god lethal company under the sea sounds really fun and if they do something similar to that it’s not the worst possibility lmao)
Oh well. I suppose we’ll see. I’m fucking jaded at this point.
The games industry is fucking doomed at this rate. This is an INSANE direction to take Subnautica, the amazing single-player survival game.
