“If her body is within range, I could reach out mentally and make a connection.” A bit of a challenging task even for someone who had practiced necromancy for as long as he did. “But how do you tell the difference between vengeful spirits and ones that are lost?” Sometimes, Elias could sense darkness in the dead that he raised, but it wasn’t always black and white. There were a lot of factors that came into play.

“Added to that, I’m not someone who would be all that helpful in a fight unless I raised the dead to fight alongside me, which wouldn’t be ideal. I’ll be counting on you to keep us both safe.”

       the other wasn’t quite right. the spirit hadnt made any malicious actions towards her, but it just seemed to like her due to the fact that chuhua could see her.  “  not quite malicious, she doesnt seem to have any vengative wishes or ... murderous intent  “  she sighed, leaning back on her seat.  “ she is just bothering me, so i want her gone. in the ... human way, not the violent way. “       her hand reached out to her sword and she placed it upon her lap.  “  the sword tells me. i cannot speak to spirits, but she usually responds to those that carry malicious intent  ;  you know ... wanting to kill, harm, torture, curse ------ that kind of stuff. she hasnt reacted to this spirit, so i just assumed its a lost one. can you track her body from her  ?  i dont really know if her body is close or far  ... “

         “  surely he had at least one redeeming quality  ...  “  she pressed her lips together, deep in thought. she hadnt known this man, so she could only think about generalities  “  was he good at cooking  ?  was he hot  ?  did he offer you his umbrella on a heavy rain day, while he walked away getting soaked just so that you wouldnt  ?  “

            “  how do you know im wrong about thinking youre wrong about me thinking im wrong if i dont think im wrong  ?  “  that caused a slight headache for her, and she isnt even sure shes right about how she phrased it.

                  ❛  kimchi  toats  it  is !  ❜  announces ,  moving  around  to  gather  the  needed  ingredients .  yoonji  can’t  brag  of  any  skills  on  a  stove ,  but  the  boy  definitely  knows  enough  to  not  eat  so  poorly ,  as  his  older  brother  was  insistent  about  him  learning .  the  best  thing  is  that  most  of  the  hard  work  is  done ,  so  yoonji  only  needs  to  prepare  the  toasts  and  heat  the  kimchi .  ❛  nah ,  i’m  fine .  plus ,  it’s  our  first  day  as  boyfriends ,  i  should  be  a  gentleman  and  do  it  all  or  something  of  that  sorts .  what  do  you  wanna  drink ?  ❜

“You help the spirts, don’t you?” He asked upon realizing that he didn’t exactly know what she did. He knew she was an exorcist of sorts, but didn’t know the ins and outs of how she went about her business. “How do you do it? What sort of techniques do you use?”

      the woman paused for a moment, staring at the other with a deadpan expression in her face before letting out a soft laugh. “  help them  ?  “  she laughs again  “  you’ve misunderstood  “

      “  i dont help misunderstood spirits get their closure and move on, if thats the kind of movie you’re on about.  i fight vengative spirits that may cause harm amongst mortals. i dont particularly care about wandering souls  “  she ended her sentence with a sigh  “  but this one has stuck to me like glue, and im really refraining myself from stiking it like i do with the others. i dont know where she is right now, but i just need help finding her body  ----- is that something you can do  ?  “

       he pulls himself up along his boyfriend, fixing his wrinkled clothes before following him out and downstairs  “  i would like the kimchi toasts if there are any, if not im just good with anything  “  he says softly  “  do you need help with anything  “  he is not comfortably enough yet within the house to start pulling open cabinets without permission.

              thinking  of  the  remaining  hours  before  she  can  go  home ,  sunmi  takes  an  extra  second  to  look  up  to  the  costumer  walking  to  her .  when  she  does  so ,  mouth  is open  to  let  out  the  familiar  greeting  but  words  stuck  in  her  throat .  goodness ,  at  home  and  at  work ?  ❛  good  evening . ❜  finally  says  it  when  jian  repeats  himself .  ❛  i  do ,  ❜  slowly  nod ,  trying  to  hint  at  where  she  stands  —  behind  the  counter  and  the  register .  ❛  what  can�� i  get  for  you ,  jian ? ❜

        the man hadn’t really thought out what to get, but he usually ever goes for the same options. with the cold weather outside, any of his preferred cold drinks are immediately out of the option.  “  i’ll have a hot americano  “  he says softly  “  can you out four pumps of syrup in it  ?  and i’ll also have a brownie square. i’ll eat it here, if thats okay  “  he adds on, the sweet treat calling his name in his brain.

                  does  as  the  other  woman  and  carefully  stores  her  belongings  in  the  backseat .  back  to  the  front ,  seated  beside  chungha ,  aejeong  makes  it  very  clear  that  there’s  no  mood  for  a  conversation ,  though  she  doubed  chungha  would  willingly  start  one .  good  for  them .  aejeong  rests  her  head  against  the  seat  and  tries  to  relax ,  thinking  of  gifting  herself  a  week  at  a  spa  after  this  nightmare .  turns  around  to  mess  with  the  radio  until  she  finds  something  good  enough ,  one  of  these  pop  artists  singing  a  soft  melody  should  help  calm  the  nerves .

         her driving is quiet as well, focusing on the road with little nervousness in her mind. worst thing were to come  (  a storm, in this point and time  ), then they’ll just have to spend the night in the car  ...  together  ...  in the small vehicle  ... ... ...            a cough interrumpts the silence, as she is shocked from her own throughts and her cheeks gain the slightest pink shade.
