                                     he pouts more at sanji’s attempts to move further a-                                      -way, and in response buries his face into the chef’s                                      chest. in doing so, he can hear and feel the beating                                      of his cook’s heart, which noticeably speeds up ra-                                      -pidly when stuttering out the ‘d’ word, then speeds                                      up more at an alarming rate when he presses him-                                      -self even closer to the blond.

                                   ❛ sanji,   are you okay? ya seem nervous! ❜

             his reply to teaching luffy about dating was swallowed with a choked screech that was threatening to escape his mouth. god — he said he missed him!! ah, fuck that’s cute but it isn’t helping his situation at all. in fact it was making it worse. he feels a bit dizzy now — whether it was from luffy’s words or being so close, he’s not sure.

“ i think i’m dying ... i mean, no. i’m fine !! i am fine, it’s just you’re kinda too close and... i don’t hate it — really ! it’s just  —— the fact that you don’t know what you’re doing to me isn’t helping cause y’know i wanna do all sort of things to you but i don’t wanna rush you so you better let go of me before i lose control~~~”

             “ whoa !! ” too close, too sudden —— TOO CLOSE !! he leans back a little to get some distance between their faces. just to be safe. but that doesn’t works cause the idiot is wrapped around his body tightly & that’s just not good !! so his only solution is to turn his & look at something that isn’t luffy’s face. or his lips. 

“ y-yeah ?? well, it can’t be helped when i’m busy. i have stuff to do around the ship and i’m not your play thing !! and ??? what do you know about dating !!? ” he’s still ignoring the rapid heartbeat even when it stopped at the ‘dating’ part. HOLY FUCKING HELL WHY IS THAT MAKING HIM SO FUCKING HAPPY?? ?

            a sense of deja vu hits him & he immediately sees & feel that face luffy always makes when he doesn’t get what he wants. fuck him for discovering that that face is his weakness. yes. fuck you captain. “ ugh !! fine ! ” he drops the plate he was washing & wipes his hands with the monkey still attached to his back. he ignores his rapid heartbeat .“ what do you want?? ”

clings to his back like a baby koala and whines like a puppy, ❛ PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEE~~~ ❜

                “ can’t you see that i’m busy !! ” wiggles to get rid of his clingy captain. “ get off of me !! ”

stares intently at sanji's hand, bead of perspiration on his brow as he tries to discern what's the appropriate time to hold his hand or if he should even try to do so at the time or if there's a specific way to do it at 5:18 pm after snacks were distributed — it's unlike him to overthink things so much, but he doesn't trust himself with these kinds of situations and he really doesn't wanna mess this up for sanji, so he'll just stay like that til sanji takes the initiative himself.

                sanji waits patiently to see what will the rubber man deiced to do, it was’t hard to figure out what he wanted from the intense stare at his hand. so, he waits, & waits, & waits some more but luffy doesn’t even move !! his face is even turning a bit red— probably overworking his tiny brain for this. it’s just his hand, he can hold it whenever he wants, he wants to tell the man. but it’s fun watching luffy like that. kinda adorable too — & he can’t stop the grin from splitting his face as he finally takes luffy’s hand in his.

“ y’know it’s okay to do it whenever you want to.” he laughs, “ there’s no need for permission or anything.” 

luffy.

        ❛ hmm…   pretty good!! so we just keep doing stuff like this                       together, right? this is so cool!! we’re gonna have so much fun!!! ❜

         “ we could do more ... later. cause this is so sudden it might give me a heart attack.”

“ Yeah, i like it a lot but i like you more !! ”

                                     grabs ahold of sanji’s hand and holds it with the pu-                                      -rest, most innocent, most eager look on his face.

          “ yep!! easy, right ?? ” intertwines their fingers together so he’s got a better hold. & nope his heart did not skip a beat. “ how does it feel? ”

        ❛ but   i’ve never been with anyone before!!! i’m even                          more lost than you!!! ( or zoro. ) ❜

        ❛ can   you teach me how to do this stuff??? i wanna                          make sure i’m doing everything right!! ❜

          “ sure!! it’s not that hard we can start with something easy like ... uh, holding hands and move from there with whatever you’re comfortable with !! i mean — just be yourself and do what you feel like !! it’ll be fun we can lots of things together, yeah ?? ”

       “ i’ve never been with a guy before so that makes two of us..haha.” a try to lighten up the mood that didn’t work.
