@itisbop I'm making a separate post for this explanation because it's a lot 😭 I'll try my best to summarize it
Okay firstly, some clarifications:
- I HC Willow to be a siren. She's adapted to living in the swamp but she's a siren nonetheless
- Charlie and Willow have an 8 year age difference, and were orphaned at 10 and 2 respectively (Charlie being older)
- both were born human
ANYWAY to sum it up, yeah I see them as sisters! They're kinda doomed siblings in a way because they got separated early on in life and Willow has no memory of Charlie. Their parents deceased very early on, leaving the pair to live in the streets. Willow (birth name Adeline) got cursed at age 8 after getting too close to a rumored "cursed lake" in their town, and shortly after her disappearance Charlie (birth name Charlotte) got roped up in the circus where she remained up until Starr Park.
When they reunited at the park, it took Charlie a little while to realize Willow was her sister (or at least what became of her), and since then when she's not at the circus she's at the swamp. Willow was practically alone ever since being cursed- leading her to be very antisocial and bitter, but Charlie's constant insistence of being around led her to open up just enough to properly welcome new people in her life (mainly Angelo). Charlie hasn't told Willow of their connection, nor does she particularly plan to. Willow doesn't remember anyway, so Charlie is fine with watching her at a distance.
Anyway I hope this summed it up well 🙇

Oh sorry my bad I didn't mean to imply Fang and Buster were one dimensional in general, but rather a lot of the community seemed to view them as such. When Maisie got released people were mad that Fang (and Buster) was "no longer a badass" as if that was all he was before, and all he's meant to be. It seems like this community can't handle more than one personality trait per brawler, because they can never compromise on how Fang is supposed to act like.
I know I'm biased too though, I've loved Maisie since she was first revealed and after spending six months defending her I'm quick to jump, apologies. Do I believe the boys should've been memed on as hard as they were? No, but I also don't believe showing this side of them was 100% a bad thing. It was just quickly overdone. Even still, at least they got something going for them- Maisie only ever has hints to a character and it's saddening to never see it expanded upon.
Finally, as much as I'd love to trust the process with the unfinished trios, I don't think I can do so. If they're capable of ruining perfect dynamics, one that has loose ends will most likely get the short(er) end of the stick too

This may be a # hot take but if you only ever draw Chuck as a legless ghost (or worse, exclusively standing on his feet) I don't think you should be drawing him. At all

@starrysupercell sure! I won't really go too deep into the AU in general because that's a whole trainwreck by itself, but I can share some Amber hcs!
• Huge, huuuge inferiority complex. Along with being a klutz, she was set up to be competition for Primo and Poco, both of which excel in their professions- Amber, however, does not
• She's an optimist though! She doesn't let her insecurity shine too much publicly, and always ensures even if she can't manage to make a decent performance, she'll support everyone else
• Except for Janet. Janet upon arrival to the park got all the attention and praise, which only reminded Amber of how much of that was lacking when she first arrived. It's petty jealousy but jealousy nonetheless
• She's pretty nice most of the time, but can and will be malicious when need be. She's got weaponized incompetence at her side too, so she usually gets away with it
• She's got supernatural fire resistance. It's mainly the reason why she can handle flame so well, because she's built for it! She once accidentally confused one of Byron's mutant formulas for her oil and spilled it on herself, causing the mutation to make her semi draconic
• She's insecure about this too
• She's gotten better at her fire dancing since her first introduction to Starr Park. Though obviously she still messes up
• Nowadays though she has Maisie to pick up after her. Amber's totally glad to have a friend like her around and she doesn't at all feel anything more about the safety tech :3

(Also, when planning the drawing for "Dance" I didn't intend to mean Amber set Janet on fire for her performance, rather Amber telling a story of fire through a fire dance! Janet burning is a separate event I'll get into if/when I talk about The Lost)
