Flash! Aaaahaaa! Savior of te universe (and my game)
Well, where do I start?
After about three iterations of the game I have finally finished it! “The adventures of Juan Butten”. il mio capolavoro! My masterpiece!
It took one week of story development, and juan (haha) day of development. It’s the story of Three of Lagouts’ (old joke company Darrien and I used as a name for our collaborative works) game protagonists, two of which fought each the third. An unlikely duo of Juan Butten (A character made specifically for a joke), Bryce Pudding (one of the four characters in BulletKill) versing Cubert (the main protagonist from ‘Pixel Perfect’. After defeating Cubert they decide to put an end to the danger they have been put through. In an ending similar to the story of Deadpool’s ‘Killogy’ the duo decide to hunt down and kill the writer of the game. At the end the final page appears to have been written by the protagonist of a new IP owned by ‘Cubism Media’ (The new pseudonym for a joint work by many parties of students on the Game Design course). The game was written with few lines of code, as it is more of telling a story in the humorous way that Lagout is known for. The reviews of the game have been mostly positive however there were a few remarks about how the game had very little in the way of art style. This, thought an issue, was intentional as it highlighted the minimalist style that most of our 2D games had.
Warm regards,
           Michael Stubbs.

Bi-weekly once a month annual update per day.
During the induction period (two weeks), we were inducted onto the course.
We were tasked with creating and pitching an idea to the people in our teams, my team selected my idea; Geo-Maze. a top-down maze game. Over a small period of time the game was ultimately changed to a side-scrolling plat-former.  The initial concept was based heavily around the idea of “point warping”, which would send the player to a select part of the screen.
After a few additional extras such as moving platforms and kill blocks we had a finished game. We then pitched it to Matty and Ant (our lecturers). The overall pitch went smoothly however there were a few hiccups.
Overall the two weeks have been fun, and if any indication of the course it should be fun.
