My Favorite FFXIV Job is Sage
The Job Actions are so extreme, I love breakdancing with my four drones. 😂😂 It's the best feeling to skidding along in a dungeon while casting Eukrasia.
Props to ever thought giving the WoL four funnels onto their back, and calling it a healer job! Perfect aesthetic. Not mismatched at all LOL. Love the creativity of it.
The wings are such a cute design. 🥰

You can be so mean to the namazu OMG XD
The quest chain starts with you finding a half dead namazu, and instead of helping... the Warrior of Light prays for Gyoshin to not suffer long, and moves on with their merry adventure.
Turns out Gyoshin was still alive, so you stuff him into a sack and carry them back to Yuzuka Manor. 🤣🤣🤣
I have mixed feelings about them taking characterization away from you, the WoL is so rude to their fishie friends. The dialogue options are all one trying to leave. But I'm enjoying the slapstick of making the namazu be the narrative punching bags.
Also do not tell me to clean my bag! RUDE!!!😂😂😂

My Favorite Tribal Quest Story so far
I'm very biased for the Ixali Tribe Quests in ARR. I'm a tinkerer and engineer IRL, so it's extra special to watch the Ixali accomplish their dreams of being able to fly again.
There a small tribe neglected by Eorzea, yet have the biggest dreams. I felt as inspired as Tataramu was, watching them struggle through bureaucracy, nobility, and watching them bounce ideas back and forth. Finally seeing their airship lifting off the ground is such a rewarding moment. And having Tataramu's father there too, finally understanding why the tribe matters so much to his son. It was a beautiful moment.

Heavensward Ending Ramblings
This was everything I wanted after how post-ARR dropped the Beast Tribes towards the end. 🥺
The anger from both sides. The unwillingness to compromise. The hundreds of years of conflict. The irrational hatred that truth cannot reason out of.
The WoL didn't take part in much of the fighting, but got to hear all the stories from both sides. They find out the full truth of how the war actually started, and how it keeps going.
The church who benefited from the existing power structure, and staged a coup.
The tavern waitress who lost her husband to dragons, she cannot imagine peace. She knows the consequences will fall on commoners before the nobles.
Then the vengeful spirit of Nidhogg decides to ruin everything by coming in to do a stabby stabby.🥲
It was messy, it was a long road filled with roadblocks with minds of their own. It's a story about how years of hate doesn't go easily away, even if it would be better for all of us. It shows how irrational hate can be.
I love what Aymeric did to get Hraesvelgr on his side is to talk about what he had to done to get a treaty. How the WoL had to kill his father for trying to perpetuate the war. Everyone has lost people, but it can end today. Because we deserve better than to kill each other for another thousand years.
Aymeric is such a loveable bastard!🥰
