How They Fall Asleep Next To You

Games: The Arcana / Fictif

Characters: Asra Alzanar, Julian Devorak, Felix Iskander Eskellun, Sage Lesath

Asra Alnazar:

Falls asleep rather quickly as soon as they lay down beside you

As in you'll be laying down with a spellbook you've read hundreds of times bc of asra

And they'll walk in and throw their bag onto the desk and stalk over to you, yawning slightly as faust slithers out of their vest and onto her little bed by the window

You look up "hey asra, youre home early this time"

They flop onto the bed and sling an arm around your waist, digging their head into your neck and heaving their chest to be partially over yours

"mhmm" they hum, already closing their eyes as you smile and run your fingers through his hair whilst he dozes off

Bc of all the magic they use on the daily, asra passes out as soon as they begin to relax

Most definitely likes laying on top of you, either fully or just beside you with their shoulder over your chest

They likes your smell a lot, which is why they get so giddy when you accept their offer to wear his scarf

But anyway, they're pretty quiet with soft snores here and there, and their fluffy hair is so cute

You always play with it so they can fall asleep faster

They have messy hair, always bedhair and you love it

They're a huge cuddler and will literally weigh you down so you can't not cuddle them back

One time you unlatched their arm from yourself to use the bathroom, and came back to a very grumpy and pouty asra on the bed

You promised to wake them up next time

And they accepted your apology with a few kisses

Speaking of kisses,,, they always likes having you kiss the top of their head

They smile to themselves and hugs you tighter

Not to mention the fact that when they wake up, they're lifting themselves to hover over you and they plant kisses all over your face to wake you up

"Asra?" I call, looking up from the clothes I was putting back into the drawers. I thought I heard the store door shut, and I already flipped the sign to show we were closed. "Asra, are you home already?"

All I got in return was a yawn and the familiar hissing going up the stairs.

I pop my head out from the bedroom corner to see Faust sitting at the third top step. She turns to me, flicking her tongue before I kneel down and hold my hand out to her. As the snake slithers up my arm, I hear footsteps coming my way.

"Ah, you're already home, Y/N." Asra smiled lazily, eyes falling upon me as they walked up the stairs, "It's a beautiful sight to see you again." Asra leans down and kisses my cheek softly.

I blink, walking back into the bedroom and watching them place their bag on the hook. "Wow, you're home... awfully early. Nadia said you wouldn't be back for another week or so." I spoke, kneeling on the bed to place Faust on her bed by the window, "Did your trip get cut short? Or did you need to grab some things before heading off again?"

"Y/N." Asra spoke, a little sleepiness hidden in their voice.

I turned around, sitting down on the mattress as I face Them. "Yes?" I hum lightly.

Asra wraps their arms around me, pulling me down with them onto the bed. I huff, feeling them make themselves comfy on my chest as they entangle our legs, arm around me like a chain, "Are you okay, Asra?"

They only hum back to me, eyelashes tickling my collar as they tighten their hold on me, "I'm very tired..."

I sighed, brushing my fingers through their hair, "You said it yourself that magic is taxing on a magician. You push yourself passed your limits constantly."

They breathes out, smiling against my skin at what I said, "If I didn't, then I wouldn't be here with you, Y/N."

I press a kiss to the side of their head, inhaling their scent of the city. "Go to sleep, Asra." I whispered, already hearing them dozing off on top of me.

I hold them against me, making sure to get all the tangles out of their hair.

Asra always looked so peacsful when they slept. You would've never guessed that they spent days perfecting spells and protecting their loved ones with their own life. I warn them to take it easy, but Asra only smiles and tells me that I'd do the same thing.

At least in times like this, Asra can relax and not have to worry about me.

Julian Devorak:

Pshh this bitch doesnt sleep

Well, he doesnt have a good sleeping schedule

Its all over the place frfr

You have to force him to come to bed all the time, or else he'll either sneak in during the way too early morning, or he'll pass out at his desk

Multiple times you've had to trick him into getting a few hours of sleep

But if at some rare time he does fall asleep beside you, he is most definitely going to lay on his back

You cuddle into his side and wrap your arm around his waist to pull him closer

Julian probably sleeps with his shirt half done so he gets cold sometimes and nuzzles into your warmth

He once woke up before the sun was fully up, and he just stared at you as the orange hues hit your cheeks

There's a mirror to the side of your bed, so he gets the perfect view of your face

He always smiles uncontrollably bc of how close you two are, and his face blushes red bc he cant believe you stick with him

Sometimes he tosses and turns

If it wakes you up, you'll sit in bed and have Julian lay his head on your lap as you soothe his nerves

He's usually still asleep at that point as well

Once he's okay, you slip back into bed and resume your position

No matter what, he always gets his goodnight kiss in

Like he'll hear you bid everyone 'goodnight' and then race over to you

He'll gently kiss you and wish you a goodnight as well before getting back to work

What's sweet about that is the fact that at the start, you'd be the one giving him kisses and now he makes it his sworn duty to kiss you before your slumber

Youre always sleeping before him anyway so he spends that time just whispering about dumb shit

If at some point you wake up during it, he's laughing nervously, saying he was rehearsing a script he had once performed

I yawned, fixing my shirt that I planned on sleeping in as I walked out of the bathroom. It was already so late at night and Julian and I had spent all day using our professions to its finest. Blinking, I stare at the mattress before noticing how empty it was.

Groaning, I walk down the stairs to the large study/library we had.

The door swings open slowly, my hand wiping my eyes to adjust to the bright room. Just as I thought, on the far end at the desk is Julian, spreading the sheets of papers across the wood and running fingers up his neck. He's still working.

"Julian." I speak, walking over to him and wrapping my arms around his waist from behind, leaning my head on his shoulder, "Come on, it's so late. Aren't you tired?"

Julian chuckles, kissing the side of my head, "Not at all, my dear. But perhaps you should, uh, head to bed now, I know how tired you get from all the magic... stuff."

I sigh, running fingers up and down his shirt, "I'm only heading to bed if you are, Julian. You need the rest too..." My eyes were closing and I could feel myself drifting off to sleep already.

But Julian laughs again, hauling me towards the bedroom after cleaning up.

He changes as I make myself comfortable in my bed, bunching up the blankets to encase in my arms as I wait for him. My eyes feel droopy and I'm drifting again. Until Julian emerges from the bathroom and slips in beside me, kissing my forehead and taking the spot of the bunched up blankets in my arms. He lays on his back, wrapped around around me while I reach across him and hold him snug against me.

"Thank you." I mumble out, entangling my legs with Julian's as my cheek squishes against his side.

"I should be saying that, my love." Julian chuckles, rumbling his chest a bit. He runs his fingers up and down my back slowly. "You always take such great care of me. It's a wonder why you haven't asked to be paid yet."

I smile softly, flicking the loose end of his shirt from my face. Julian presses another kiss to my forehead, mumbling something about being adorable when I'm tired, and how he loves it when he can lay here beside me.

I give one last yawn before I finally fall into slumber, but not without hearing Julian mumble out one 'I love you' before it.

Felix Iskander Eskellun:

Cannon that he is a night owl

But sometimes he likes to 'pretend sleep' next to you

Like you'll announce to the trio that youre heading to bed now and you'll go around to felix to kiss him 'goodnight' and he'll watch you go thinking "i want to work but i also want to follow y/n"

Sage and anisa got kinda suspicious when they suddenly see felix cleaning up his section at the desk hastily

Anisa: "are you doing alright, felix?"

Felix: "of course, i'm just turning in for the evening"

Sage, looking around to remember you arent here: "oh ;)) just 'turning in' huh ;)) well get going, don't want to stop the two of you ;))"

Felix, squinting: "i hope you know how much i loathe remembering that you have the ability to talk"

Sage: "haha yeah whatever short-ass"

You're pulling your shirt over your head when felix walks in with an annoyed expression

And he sees you and goes red, stopping his movements "a—oh, i... pardon me, i—i should've knocked, my apologies, i didn't mean to—"

"im covered felix, it's fine" you say as you scoot into your bed

Felix is little spoon :)))

It's canon already

He likes feeling your head nuzzled against his neck, and your arms tightly wrapped around his torso, as well as the soft kisses against his exposed kiss to lull him to sleep

Felix also secretly likes the quiet whispers of when you can't fall asleep and think he's out already

You draw little shapes and words on his stomach as you talk to yourself

You: "man i swear to god if sage brings another thot into my room thinking its a good place to do the do, i will end his whole career, no cap"

Felix, wide awake and staring at the wall: internally what is y/n talking about???

Lmao no joke, you whisper the sweetest things to him and it makes his heart race so fast

Kiss his neck if you wake up before him and get ready, he'll wake up and stare at the wall again

But most times you just talk about how cute you think felix is, and how you undeniably love him

And that gets felix flustered even more bc he can't show you that he's listening or else you'll stop talking

This one time you fell asleep after a while of talking about him, and he turned around slightly to lay on his back

You looked so calm and so beautiful that he just leaned forward and kissed you on your cheek and brushed the hair off your face

You cuddled more into him and mumbled an 'i love you, felix' and he freaked the fuck out

You were still asleep, so he turned back away and laced his hands through yours

"Thanks for everything, Anisa." I call, waving my hand at her as I walk over to Felix. He smiles softly at me before I lean towards him and kiss his lips gently, hand on his shoulder. "I'm gonna' go to sleep now."

Sage gasped out loudly, gesturing to himself, "Hey! I also helped! Why does Anisa get all the credit?" His tail wagged with annoyance as I walked towards the door with a shake of my head.

I mutter out, opening the door as I glance at him, "Because she didn't try to trade my life for a pouch of coins, Sage."

"I was gonna get you back anyway, Y/N." Sage spoke, crossed arms and turning away from me. I roll my eyes and shut the door, making my way to my bedroom.

It doesn't take long for me to get ready for sleeping, tugging on my pants and shirt over her chest. By now, Felix would be putting his things away and his books placed in the bookshelf. He learnt to take his time cleaning up after himself so he wouldn't walk in on me changing again. I didn't mind, but he sure as Hell did.

The door swings open as I put the clothes I would wear for tomorrow on the desk. Felix trudges in with a frown, placing his spellbook on the bedside table. I only grin at him and tease, "Why, don't you look chipper, Felix?"

He sits down on the bed, shrugging off his overcoat. "Sage's ability to irritate me to the bone is extravagantly worryful." He tells me, running fingers through his long hair. He puts the coat over the desk chair. "His carnal spews should've remained as thoughts."

I chuckle, walking towards him and slipping under the sheets beside him, "Oh? So you'd rather him think about us doing that stuff?"

He goes rigid, glancing at me over his shoulder. "That is not... what I meant." He grumbled out, moving his legs onto the bed after he takes off his shoes, "I swear, sometimes you and that blasphemous idiot share the same mind."

He faces away from me, back turned so I can wrap my arms around his waist. I make myself comfortable behind him, legs against his and my chest pushed against his back. Felix lets out a small sigh as I nuzzle into the back of his neck, kissing his skin lightly.

I muttered out quietly, "I have to wake up early tomorrow since I'm helping Anisa out in the town." I feel him shift in my arms, making my run my fingers up and down his shirt to calm him. "It'll be fine, Anisa will protect me like a hawk. And if it makes you feel any better, you can cast some protection spell over me before I leave."

Felix grumbles back, lacing his fingers through mine tightly, "I know, you'll be protected immensely. I just... Wouldn't it be better if I accompanied the both of you?" He brings our joined hands to his lips, breath fanning over them slightly. "I'm the reason you are currently here. It would be horrendous if you were to be hurt whilst staying here."

I kiss the back of his neck again, making him inhale sharply. "You put too much blame on yourself, Felix." I inform him, looking over his neck to stare at the wall like he was, "I'm sure Anisa will let you come along with us. If she says 'no', I'll give her the puppy eyes and pouty face. She won't be able to resist it."

Felix laughs lightly, making his back rumble, "Only when it's you. When Sage does it, he looks as if he desires to pass out."

I laugh back, moving closer to Felix, "I always knew you thought I was cute."

He freezes, and then digs his face into his hands. I can feel his cheeks burning slightly, makinge smile and kiss his shoulder again. He hums out, muffled by his palms, "You... You must've always knew that, Y/N..."

I stay quiet, saving the teasing for the next day. After a while, I hear him snore slightly, perhaps he's beginning to fall asleep. His fingers go loose around my hands, and I keep one in his lazy grasp and the other continues to draw shapes on his shirt.

"You're pretty cute too, Felix." I whisper out.

He shifts and huffs, "You can say the strangest of things, barista."

Of course he's still awake.

Sage Lesath:

Lol good luck trying to get him to bed

To sleep

Sage is one rowdy guy, so he's bound to be touchy when he lays down beside you

You're mostly tired bc of studying magic and not knowing how much energy is too much to use, and sage isn't really a great and focused teacher

So you're usually very tired at night before bed

You'll sit at your side of the table, flipping through felix's books and dozing off every once in a while, and sage would notice since he's sitting beside you and staring whilst you work

It takes anisa to ask you to head to bed since you're sleeping on your book, so sage just tosses you over his shoulder and takes you to the room

He jokes about sleeping with you and when you don't say anything, he pats your back and asks if you've fallen asleep

But when you slipped into bed and tugged on his hand for him to lean down and let you kiss his cheek, he exploded in a huge red mess

So he shut the door behind him and slipped in after you, settling behind you so he could wrap his arms around your torso

He definitely likes to have his head nuzzled in between your shoulders

His tail wraps around your thigh bc he wants you close

This is probably the first time the horny thoughts are gONe

Bc youre just so warm and snug up against him

Although, he loves it more when you turn around halfway through the night, so you can put your arms around his head and hug him to your chest

You scratch behind his ears when you do that and he fucking loves it

Sometimes when you stop,, and your hand slides off his head, he'll wake up and put your hand back onto the top of his head to just lay there

Thats the first thing you do when you wake up, scratch behind his ears

Sage really loves it

He litters kisses all along your neck and collarbone bc sometimes you shift in your sleep and those kisses lull you back

But if sage falls asleep first, he's definitely purring the first few minutes of his light sleeping

The first time you giggled about it, he woke up and grumbled something about hating how loud his purr was

You said it was cute

So he shut up

Sage snored pretty quietly, but sometimes he talks in his sleep

You'll hear him apologising to his sister or to felix and anisa

That's why you turn over to face him

Bc you kiss his face and try to calm him down without waking him up

After a while of that, sage will dig his head into your chest and hug you tighter around your waist, locking you in so you can't move much

If he wakes up during the time youre calming him down, he just keeps his eyes closed and appreciates the kisses

Bc youre taking care of what he needs and what he didnt know he wanted

He's a pretty light sleeper, which is why you try to be quiet afte he's fallen asleep

But if he's showing you that he's woken up and you're caught in the act of kissing him, he'll definitely tease you and say something like "oh? Can't keep your hands off of me, babe?" or idk

But he really appreciates that you like sleeping next go him

Now when you go to bed, you tug on his hand and nod to the door, as if to ask if he wants to come to bed as well

He always accepts

I feel a tug on my collar, shaking me awake from my small nap. My eyes open and I'm staring at the book in front of me, the one I was meant to be reading. The same page. Page seven.

Sage beside me chuckles lowly, his cheek leaning against his fist as he watches me wipe my eyes. His other hand holds my collar tightly, keeping me up in my seat. "You look cute when you're about to hit your head on the table." He says to me.

"Y/N, you can head to bed now." Anisa smiles at me, hand on her hips as she speaks out loud, "We should call this to an end anyway. Felix, get some sleep too. Properly this time."

Felix rolls his eyes and goes back to his book.

Sage pulls me up from my seat as I yawn, "Okay, thanks Anisa. I'll see you all in the morning." I tug on Sage's hand, glancing at him as his raises a brow and tilts his head to the side.

"Oh? You want me to come with you?" He speaks, smirking a little.

I deadpan, letting go of his hand and walking to the door, "I'm going to bed now. Goodnight Amisa, Felix. Bye, Sage." I don't spare him a glance but I know he's watching me.

I hear him laugh before following me out, shutting the door behind us.

He's already draped his arm over my shoulders by the time we're in the bedroom. He lets me go so I can change and finish getting ready to go to bed. He lets out his hair and brushes his fingers through it before shrugging off his coat. I hear him let out a long sigh as I begin to change clothes.

"You know, I'd hate to have this whole room just to study some random spellbook that Felix gives you." He groans as I pull off my top, grabbing the other on the dresser, "There are most definitely other things to use this room for."

That's when he sits up and wiggles his brows at me playfully, making me smile and roll my eyes. I hum back to him, "I'm going to sleep, Sage. And you should too, we have to get up early tomorrow and head back into town."

Sage pouts at me as I make my way over to him. He reaches out and grabs my hands, pulling me closer. "I'm not so tired right now, Y/N." He whines as I crawl into bed with him, "You could make me tired."

I chuckle, facing him as tugging him closer to me, "I know, Sage, I know. But I'm..." A yawn interrupts me as Sage's ear flicks at my cheek. "—tired. So let's just go to sleep."

Sage huffs back, already digging his face into my chest like he always did, "Hmm, fine... But I get a reward next time."

I wrap my arm around him and brush my fingers along the back of his head, the hair moving smoothly through the gaps in between them. "You always do, Sage." I whisper to him, kissing the top of his head as his ear flicks once I scratch behind them.

He purrs softly at first, his fingers brushing against my back. I smile, digging my nose into his soft hair. Sage would mention how much he despised his purr, but I wouldn't agree, only brushing behind his ears more. Right now, he's leaning more into me and engulfing his body into mine.

"Warm." He says, lips brushing against my skin.

He's snoring now, enough that I only smile and move my fingers against his scalp. His breath hits my collar just lightly, like he's finally relaxing and doesn't plan on getting up. His tail is already wrapped around my upper leg, not allowing me to move it off of his hip.

I'm completely and utterly stuck in his grasp.
